Narin

MEOVV’s switchblade all-rounder: a rapper who can carry vocal weight and a vocalist who understands when a line needs teeth.

Early life

Narin was born in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam, and attended schools in the Apgujeong and Sinsa area. She speaks Korean, English, and Japanese. Long before debut, she was a serious BLACKPINK fan with Jennie as her bias—a fact that feels less like cute trivia once you hear how carefully she uses tone.

Training and pre-debut

Narin auditioned with Billie Eilish’s “idontwannabeyouanymore.” She was the fifth and final member revealed on August 29, 2024. Ending the reveal cycle with her made sense: she immediately complicated the idea that each MEOVV member would stay in one neat lane.

MEOVV career

2024 · debut year

Narin debuted with MEOVV on September 6, 2024 through “MEOW,” then returned with “TOXIC.” The first year established the group’s controlled performance style and gave each member a distinct camera identity.

2025 · MY EYES OPEN VVIDE

“HANDS UP,” the first EP, Japanese promotion, and “BURNING UP” expanded the catalog. The year mattered because the members had to prove they were more than an immaculate launch campaign.

2026 · BITE NOW

The second EP gives Narin more room to show personality. “In my hands” turns confidence inward: not winning somebody over, but backing yourself loudly enough that mistranslation accidentally rewrote the entire chorus.

What Narin brings to MEOVV

She can change from clipped rap consonants to a more open sung line without sounding like two different performers were stitched together. That makes her disproportionately important in short songs, where transitions have no time to breathe.

Best starting point

Watch “MEOW,” “HANDS UP,” and “In my hands” in order to see the performance identity loosen up.

Era file

  • MEOW: the introduction—controlled, feline, expensive.
  • TOXIC: more melody and emotional exposure.
  • HANDS UP / MY EYES OPEN VVIDE: bigger choreography and clearer member contrast.
  • BITE NOW: sharper humor, more self-definition, less need to look perfectly untouchable.
