MEOVV

Five girls, one extremely expensive catwalk, and enough controlled attitude to make silence feel like part of the beat.

RaeRae take: MEOVV arrived with the kind of confidence that makes people argue whether the song is empty or whether the girls are simply refusing to beg for attention. Both reactions are part of the point. They do not perform desperation. They walk in, look around, and assume the room will adjust.

Pronounced “meow,” MEOVV is THEBLACKLABEL’s first girl group. The official name expands to My Eyes Open VVide; the doubled V is part of the group’s visual spelling, not a typo. The lineup connects South Korea, Japan, and the United States, but the brand is deliberately tight: sleek percussion, low-register hooks, fashion-film framing, and performers who know how to hold a camera without overfilling every second.

Current release: BITE NOW

The second EP, released June 1, 2026, is the first MEOVV project that feels less like a brand introduction and more like the group arguing with the brand in public. Hit ’Em, DDI RO RI, In my hands, Favorite song, and Revenge stretch the group beyond the polished threat of their debut year. “In my hands” is the key character piece: the chorus is self-fandom, not devotion to somebody else.

How MEOVV got here

Before the first meow

THEBLACKLABEL opened the group’s social accounts in August 2024 and revealed the lineup one member at a time: Ella, Gawon, Sooin, Anna, then Narin. That sequence mattered because the members did not arrive as interchangeable silhouettes. Ella already had years of modeling visibility; Anna had a Japanese fashion career; Gawon carried YG trainee history; Sooin brought the dance spine; and Narin was introduced last with the kind of vocal-and-rap versatility that made “position” arguments immediate.

2024: MEOW and TOXIC

“MEOW” debuted on September 6, 2024. The song’s negative space became the debate: some listeners heard restraint, others heard an unfinished loop, and the performance made both interpretations more interesting. “TOXIC” followed in November and gave the group a more melodic, emotionally exposed lane without turning them into a completely different act.

2025: hands up, eyes open

“HANDS UP” arrived in April, followed by the debut EP MY EYES OPEN VVIDE in May. That period established the MEOVV contradiction: hard styling around music that often depends on small vocal colors. Japanese promotion with “ME ME ME” and the October single “BURNING UP” widened the catalog without abandoning the polished visual grammar.

2026: BITE NOW

The second EP sharpens the group’s personality. Instead of treating confidence as a single pose, it lets the members be bratty, funny, irritated, self-impressed, and a little strange. That is where a fandom page gets interesting: not “they are all talented,” but how each member changes the same song.

PAWMPAWM territory

The official fandom name is PAWMPAWM, announced in 2025. The fun of following MEOVV is that the members are easy to separate once you stop looking only at styling: Sooin attacks choreography through texture; Gawon grounds songs with a cooler vocal weight; Anna makes precision look unbothered; Narin switches between rap and melody like she is changing lanes; and Ella has the unnerving camera ease of somebody who grew up on sets.

The tea, with receipts

The most useful current correction came from MEOVV themselves. In a June 2026 interview with The FADER, Ella clarified that “In my hands” says “I’m my own number one fan”, not “I’m your number one fan.” Narin also corrected a mistranslated line: she is saying she was born chic, not that she cannot be chic. Tiny particles, completely different song.

No mystery-account rumor gets promoted to fact here. Confirmed label news, member quotes, credits, schedule changes, and genuinely relevant fandom discussion will be linked back to the member, song, album, and group.
