CVM Sekai is a fan, culture, storytelling, and editorial website. We do not sell personal information, run cross-site behavioral advertising, or operate a data-broker side hustle. Public registration is currently closed. Existing approved accounts can still sign in, and the site keeps the technical records needed to operate and defend WordPress.
This policy applies to cvmsekai.com. Outside websites, stores, video platforms, and social networks follow their own privacy rules, even when CVM Sekai links to or embeds them.

What CVM Sekai may collect
We collect information in three ways: you give it to us, the website generates it while doing its job, or an outside service provides it when you use that service. The exact information depends on what you choose to do.

Why we use information
CVM Sekai uses personal information to operate and improve the website, authenticate approved users, protect accounts, answer questions, review privacy requests, moderate submissions, diagnose errors, prevent spam and fraud, and comply with legal obligations. We do not collect information just because a plugin makes collection possible.
Where a privacy law requires a legal basis, the basis depends on the activity. It may be your consent, a request or agreement you asked us to carry out, a legal obligation, or CVM Sekai’s legitimate interest in running a secure and functional website. You may withdraw consent when consent is the basis, although the withdrawal does not undo earlier lawful processing.
Accounts, passwords, and login records
Public registration is currently disabled. CVM Sekai does not automatically add new visitors as subscribers. Existing approved accounts may remain active, and administrators may create or manage accounts when there is a real operational reason.
WordPress stores passwords as protected hashes rather than readable passwords. CVM Sekai may retain account identifiers, role information, login attempts, security events, and recovery details so approved users can sign in and unauthorized visitors cannot. Never send a password through the contact form.
Cookies and ordinary website machinery
Cookies are small records saved by a browser. WordPress and service providers may use necessary cookies for login sessions, security, preferences, spam control, and site performance. Blocking necessary cookies may stop sign-in or other features from working.
CVM Sekai does not currently use personal information for cross-site behavioral advertising. If advertising, profiling, or materially different tracking is added later, this policy and any required privacy controls will be updated before that new use begins.
Videos, music, social media, and outside links
Articles may embed or link to YouTube, music services, social platforms, artist websites, publishers, retailers, and reporting sources. An embedded service can receive your IP address, browser information, cookies, account status, or interaction as though you visited that service directly. If you are signed in there, the provider may connect the visit to your account.
CVM Sekai does not control another company’s account system or privacy policy. The link is a route to the source, not a promise that the outside service follows CVM Sekai’s rules.
Purchases happen on outside marketplaces
CVM Sekai may link to books, music, merchandise, or other products sold by outside marketplaces. Those providers handle checkout, payment-card information, shipping, returns, and their own customer accounts under their policies. CVM Sekai does not currently operate a direct on-site checkout.
An affiliate or marketplace may provide limited reporting, such as an order category, referral event, or commission amount. CVM Sekai should not receive your complete payment-card number from an outside marketplace. If you contact us about a purchase, we receive whatever information you choose to include in that message, so leave out full card numbers and government identification.
Who may process information
Running a WordPress site requires service providers. Depending on the feature involved, hosting, domain, backup, security, email, form, WordPress, plugin, video, social-media, marketplace, and technical-support providers may process the information needed to perform their jobs or meet legal duties.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to a valid legal process, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or complete a business transfer. CVM Sekai does not sell its visitor or member list to data brokers.
How long information stays
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose that brought it here. Account records may remain while an account is active. Messages and security records may remain long enough to answer a request, prevent abuse, resolve a dispute, or meet legal and operational duties.
Deleting a record from the live site may not instantly remove every backup copy. Backups rotate on their own schedules and are used for recovery, not as a secret second website. When a backup is restored, eligible deletion requests must be respected again.
Security has limits
CVM Sekai uses reasonable safeguards suited to the website and the information involved. These may include encrypted connections, access controls, backups, software updates, monitoring, and limited administrative access. No website, server, or transmission method can promise perfect security. Anyone making that promise is selling a cape, not certainty.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live and which law applies, you may ask whether we hold personal information about you, request access or a portable copy, correct inaccurate information, delete eligible information, withdraw consent, object to or restrict certain uses, or appeal a privacy decision. These rights are not always absolute. We may retain information needed for security, legal compliance, disputes, or other lawful reasons.
We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. That check protects your information from someone using a privacy request as an account-theft shortcut. Send only what is reasonably needed for verification.
California residents
Where the California Consumer Privacy Act applies, California residents may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and obtain information about the collection, use, sale, sharing, and retention of personal information. They may also have rights concerning sensitive personal information and cross-context behavioral advertising.
CVM Sekai does not sell personal information for money and does not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not unlawfully discriminate against someone for exercising an applicable privacy right.
EEA and UK visitors
Where European or UK data-protection law applies, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, object, receive portable data, withdraw consent, and complain to your local supervisory authority. Information may be processed in the United States or wherever a necessary provider operates, subject to safeguards required by applicable law.
Children’s privacy
CVM Sekai includes stories and fandom material that younger readers may enjoy, but the website is not designed to collect personal information from children under 13. We do not knowingly request personal information from a child under 13 without any consent required by law.
Parents and guardians should supervise a child’s use of interactive features. If you believe a child submitted personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review the situation and remove eligible information.
When this policy changes
We may update this policy when the website, its providers, its practices, or applicable law changes. The effective and last-updated date will change when a material revision is published. When appropriate, CVM Sekai may also provide a notice on the website or through a communication you requested.
