Worldbuilding Lab · Boba-fueled deep dives

The panda research pile, but with labels.

Ideas, source trails, cultural questions, maps, character connections, and tiny details that wandered into an original Story World, a web novel, an anime world, or several projects at once—and refused to leave.

This is where one harmless question becomes a research file, a naming system, a historical consequence, and a note explaining why two neighboring regions absolutely cannot agree about soup.

Maps open. Boba acquired. One lore question has become a continent.
Start with the question Why does this world work? Not merely what exists, but what shaped it, who benefits, who complains, and what breaks when the rules are ignored.
Follow the people Culture has a pulse Kinship, names, food, clothing, rituals, expectations, grudges, jokes, and all the details people carry without explaining them.
Test the machinery Systems bite back Magic, politics, cultivation, technology, class, belief, geography, and consequences large enough to reach the plot.
Check the paper trail Details have memories A historical event, family decision, old law, or half-forgotten myth can keep echoing long after everybody claims it is over.
There was supposed to be one tab

Welcome to the deep dive

The lab is the shared workbench behind CVM Sekai’s geeky ecosystem: original Story Worlds, novels and web novels, anime worlds, translations, and the ideas connecting them. Some entries begin with culture or history. Others begin because RaeRae noticed one suspicious detail, opened fourteen tabs, and could not leave it alone.

The official lab condition

A research session is considered complete when the original question has been answered, five new questions have appeared, the boba is empty, and a folder has been created for something that was definitely not supposed to become its own project.

Eight files today. More chaos later.
