Ella
The maknae who arrived with years of camera experience already in her bones. Ella does not look comfortable on set; she looks native to it.
Early life
Ella was born in Los Angeles to a Korean mother and German-American father. She began modeling as a child and built an international portfolio before most trainees would have entered an audition room. She has a younger brother, Roman, and speaks English and Korean.
Training and pre-debut
Ella signed as a model with THEBLACKLABEL in 2018 and became the first MEOVV member revealed, on August 21, 2024. Her audition song was Radiohead’s “Creep,” which is gloriously moodier than the predictable pop answer. Her longstanding public connection to BLACKPINK’s Jennie made her familiar to many fans before the group had a name.
MEOVV career
2024 · debut year
Ella debuted with MEOVV on September 6, 2024 through “MEOW,” then returned with “TOXIC.” The first year established the group’s controlled performance style and gave each member a distinct camera identity.
2025 · MY EYES OPEN VVIDE
“HANDS UP,” the first EP, Japanese promotion, and “BURNING UP” expanded the catalog. The year mattered because the members had to prove they were more than an immaculate launch campaign.
2026 · BITE NOW
The second EP gives Ella more room to show personality. “In my hands” turns confidence inward: not winning somebody over, but backing yourself loudly enough that mistranslation accidentally rewrote the entire chorus.
What Ella brings to MEOVV
Her camera awareness is obvious, but the more interesting growth is musical. She knows how to underplay a look, holds her place in formation, and has steadily developed a cleaner vocal identity instead of relying on pre-debut recognition.
