Before SEVENTOEIGHT
EXXI entered SCOOL with a serious dance résumé. He has worked with the crews zeppoyoungzters and void, won the World Dance Championship, produces music, and plays guitar and piano. He also auditioned for SM Entertainment. For a Malaysian performer entering the Korean idol industry, none of that erased the language barrier, but it did mean the performance foundation was already there.
SCOOL
EXXI competed on the Korean-Taiwanese survival show SCOOL and earned a place in the final team. Survival shows love to compress years of training into one dramatic ranking. The profile matters because the person did not begin when the cameras did.
From SCOOL finalist to working lineup
EXXI entered SCOOL as Pang Ee Xiang, representing Malaysia in a cast built across Taiwan and Korea. The final was not merely an introduction: he finished sixth and earned one of the debut positions. SEVENTOEIGHT debut
The group pre-released “PDSR (Please Don’t Stop the Rain)” before debuting officially with “DRIP&DROP” on July 28, 2025. EXXI entered a six-member active lineup with Chiwon, M, EXXI, Kyojun, Jagger, and D’om. The group promotes from Korea while keeping a strong Taiwan-based identity.
EXXI is the member most likely to make me stop looking at the center. The main-vocal and main-dancer combination is rude enough. Then he adds production experience and instruments like he is completing side quests.
