The story
V’s baritone gave BTS a tonal color that was unusual in idol pop, especially when the group’s early material favored higher, more urgent vocal lines. His taste leans toward jazz, soul, vintage photography, cinema, and songs that are comfortable leaving empty space. Layover made that preference the entire room.
V debuted with BTS on June 13, 2013. The group’s rise meant learning in public, from rookie-era hip-hop stages to stadium tours, solo releases, military service, and the full-group return.
