TREASURE
TREASURE survived a survival show, a delayed debut, a twelve-to-ten-member reset, several leadership eras, and enough comeback gaps to make TREASURE MAKERS develop calendar anxiety. In 2026, they are ten performers beginning a louder hip-hop chapter with NEW WAV.

The RaeRae take
Their strongest weapon is not one concept. It is the gap between ten very different colors: rappers with real writing instincts, vocalists who can carry live stages, producers inside the lineup, and choreography that still reads with a crowd onstage. Their biggest enemy has usually been momentum. When the music arrives, the members know what to do with it. The waiting is the part nobody asked for.
Meet the members
The 2026 lineup is ten. Leadership now uses classroom titles: HARUTO became class president and YOON JAE HYUK became vice class president with the NEW WAV era. That follows earlier dual-leader periods led by CHOI HYUN SUK and JIHOON, then JUNKYU and ASAHI.
Current era: NEW WAV
The album
Released June 1, 2026, NEW WAV is TREASURE’s fourth mini album and its first project built entirely around hip-hop. The four tracks are “IF I”, “ZOOM ZOOM,” “NALLY-NA (HYUNHAYO),” and “DANGER.”
The reset
YG called this the beginning of TREASURE’s second chapter. The sound moves closer to the company’s hip-hop roots, while the new class-president system puts HARUTO and YOON JAE HYUK in public leadership roles. “New” is doing a lot of work here, but the shift is real enough to watch.

IF I: one unfinished question, ten kicked-down doors
The all-English title track turns doubt into a dare. Read the full review for the song meaning, sparse production, member-by-member performance, black-and-white meteor symbolism, 100-million-view record, and the public streaming-campaign receipts.

IF I
NEW WAV’s title track: English-language confidence, minimalist hip-hop, ten-member formation power, MV symbolism and the numbers behind the rollout.

The playlist is being worked newest-to-oldest. Official MVs, performance films and dance versions will become one deep article per song. Fan line distributions and mirrors do not count.
History: from Treasure Box to chapter two
The group began through YG Treasure Box, a survival show built around YG trainees competing for a debut lineup. The project produced TREASURE 13, split into TREASURE and MAGNUM, before the company reorganized the plan.
YG combined the units under the single name TREASURE. They debuted August 7 with “BOY” from The First Step: Chapter One. The rapid First Step releases established the group’s bright energy, synchronized scale and a fandom already trained to watch every stage for individual moments.
The First Step: Treasure Effect completed the debut series. TREASURE collected rookie awards and developed a broader personality through Treasure Map, the variety series that did as much fandom work as some title tracks.
“JIKJIN” pushed the group into heavier YG territory while “DARARI” became the softer viral counterweight. MASHIHO and BANG YE DAM paused activities in May and officially left in November, reorganizing TREASURE as ten. This is the point where every later group page must be precise: they debuted as twelve; they continue as ten.
The REBOOT era did what the name promised. T5—JUNKYU, JIHOON, YOON JAE HYUK, DOYOUNG and SO JUNG HWAN—released “MOVE,” then the full group returned with “BONA BONA.” The album expanded member writing and production while leaning into a more mature performance identity.
“KING KONG” and “LAST NIGHT” bridged the next phase. PLEASURE arrived as a fan-facing spring project; LOVE PULSE followed in September 2025. Leadership rotated from CHOI HYUN SUK and JIHOON to JUNKYU and ASAHI, reinforcing that TREASURE treats leadership as a shared, changing job rather than one permanent crown.
HARUTO and YOON JAE HYUK took the class-president roles as NEW WAV opened an all-hip-hop chapter. “IF I” became the group’s first all-English title track and its fastest MV to reach 100 million views. The rapper unit CHOI HYUN SUK, YOSHI and HARUTO—HYUNHAYO—then received an official unit identity around “NALLY-NA.”

Fandom file
TREASURE MAKER · TEUME
The official fandom name is TREASURE MAKER, inherited from the survival-show language around the people who would “make” TREASURE. The everyday nickname is TEUME, shortened from the Korean pronunciation.
TEULIGHT
The official light stick is commonly called the TEULIGHT. TREASURE concerts turn its blue glow into the clearest visual proof that a fandom can wait through scheduling gaps and still show up loud.
What fans watch
Treasure Map is essential, not bonus homework. It established group chemistry, recurring jokes, competitive disasters and the difference between who members are onstage and who immediately loses control in a game.
Units worth knowing
T5 is the performance/vocal unit built around “MOVE.” HYUNHAYO is the official 2026 rapper unit of CHOI HYUN SUK, YOSHI and HARUTO. Both names should link to their songs as those reviews are added.
The tea, with receipts
Leadership did not “collapse.” It rotated.
Fan pages often freeze old positions forever. TREASURE does not. CHOI HYUN SUK and JIHOON led from debut through 2024; JUNKYU and ASAHI took the next period; HARUTO and YOON JAE HYUK assumed the class-president roles with NEW WAV. Treating all three eras as simultaneously current creates nonsense.
The 100-million-view argument
“IF I” reached 100 million YouTube views in just under twelve days, TREASURE’s fastest. Official repeat-play campaigns also existed, including a Japanese LINE MUSIC promotion with rewards at 500 and 3,000 plays. The number is real; it is also the product of fandom, paid marketing and organized streaming. One statistic cannot separate them.
The former-member context
MASHIHO and BANG YE DAM left YG and TREASURE in November 2022 after hiatuses. Neither belongs in a current-member card. Both belong in the history, because deleting them would make the twelve-member debut and the emotional weight of the ten-member reboot impossible to understand.
