Early life and training
HARUTO entered YG from Japan, competed on YG Treasure Box, and became the first member publicly announced for the original TREASURE lineup. His mother’s well-known love of BIGBANG makes the YG connection feel almost inherited, but the debut spot was earned in public.

2020–2021 · The First Step
TREASURE debuted with “BOY” on August 7, 2020 and released the First Step series at unusually fast speed. These stages established HARUTO’s base identity before the group had enough songs to specialize.
2022–2023 · ten-member reboot
After MASHIHO and BANG YE DAM left in November 2022, the group reorganized as ten. REBOOT and its units gave the remaining members more space, more credits and more responsibility. HARUTO debuted as one of the younger rappers and gradually took more creative and public responsibility. On June 1, 2026, he became TREASURE’s class president. NEW WAV also placed him in HYUNHAYO with CHOI HYUN SUK and YOSHI.
