JURIN
JURIN is the person XG can place at the front when a song needs authority before the beat has even finished introducing itself.

Before XG
Before XG, JURIN was a competitive snowboarder with Olympic ambitions and worked as a fashion model. That history explains more than a cute pre-debut fact. Snowboarding trained balance, nerve, and control at speed. Modeling taught her how to make a silhouette read before she ever became the leader of a group obsessed with fashion.
The road to debut
She entered the long XGALX training process and helped hold together a lineup that spent years preparing away from public view. Vogue Japan described the members as moving toward the same goal despite radically different starting points. JURIN’s job was never merely to stand in the middle. She had to make seven ambitious performers feel like one act.
XG debuted with “Tippy Toes” on March 18, 2022. The group is Japanese, based in South Korea, and deliberately works across markets rather than pretending nationality disappears when the chorus is in English. Their fandom is ALPHAZ, and their music sits in the deliberately slippery “X-POP” lane: hip-hop and R&B first, idol training underneath, fashion apparently imported from a nicer galaxy.
XG era guide
JURIN’s official XG recording timeline begins with “Tippy Toes” in March 2022 and “MASCARA” later that year. “Shooting Star” and “Left Right” expanded the group’s international audience in 2023, while NEW DNA, “WOKE UP,” AWE, and the later THE CORE period gave its rap line progressively harder and more varied material.
Her leadership is visible in how the group maintains a common performance standard without erasing seven different textures. Interviews and behind material show coordination and communication, but the music remains the strongest evidence. In dense rap sections, her lower delivery establishes weight; in formations, her athletic control makes large styling choices feel intentional rather than chaotic.
PS118 and solo classification
“PS118,” released in November 2025 with Rapsody, established JURIN ASAYA as a principally credited solo artist. The collaboration connects her XG rap identity to an independent release without pretending the group catalog belongs to her alone. It is the formal reason this same canonical profile appears in both Members and Artists.
The solo tracker includes independently credited JURIN releases and their official videos. XG songs remain attached to the group profile, while features and collaborations retain the billing shown by the official release. Future singles, mixtapes, or albums should be added here instead of creating a duplicate person page.
What JURIN actually does
Her rap delivery is clipped, low, and physically grounded. She does not decorate every bar. She gives phrases weight, then lets the camera come to her. As a dancer, she favors clean angles and an athletic center of gravity. In XG’s loudest videos, that restraint keeps the performance from turning into costume noise.
Fandom notes

- Worked as a model before debut.
- Debuted as a solo artist in 2025 with “PS118” featuring Rapsody.
- Her leadership reads as calm structure rather than constant speeches.
