How seven contestants became one group
PROJECT 7 began with 98 contestants and let viewers assemble combinations rather than simply rank isolated trainees. The finale produced Jeon Minwook, Ma Jingxiang, Jang Yeojun, Kim Sungmin, Song Seungho, Sakurada Kenshin and Seo Kyoungbae. More than 17 million global viewers participated across the season.
The lineup did not begin at the same starting line. Minwook had already debuted in BAE173. Jingxiang and Yeojun had survived earlier programs. Kenshin carried the signal-song center position. Kyoungbae arrived largely self-taught. That mixture gives CLOSE YOUR EYES a strange but useful texture: some members know exactly where the camera is, while others still look surprised that it found them.
The debut year moved fast
ETERNALT arrived on April 2, 2025 with “All My Poetry,” a softer R&B direction that refused the usual rookie shouting contest. They earned a music-show win six days into their career. Snowy Summer followed with three trophies and more than 200,000 first-day sales. By the time blackout arrived in November, the group had moved into darker R&B, club production and member participation.
blackout sold more than half a million copies in less than a week and pushed their cumulative sales past one million. Minwook contributed lyrics to “X.” Kenshin worked on choreography. “SOB,” their first outside collaboration, paired them with Grammy-winning Kazakh producer Imanbek.
