An audio-only Weverse live from Jang Yeojun gave fans sound without pictures. The internet filled the empty screen with a vaping theory, a favoritism theory, and enough certainty to make UNCORE reach for legal-action language.
How the rumor started
Listeners heard a noise during the broadcast and some interpreted it as an exhale connected to vaping. A separate private-message exchange, where Yeojun discussed a hypothetical situation involving preferential treatment, was then read as a coded complaint about a specific member.
This is how two vague moments become one confident conspiracy. The audio did not identify a vape. The hypothetical did not identify a member. Social media supplied both.
UNCORE’s response
UNCORE said the noise came from the practice-room environment and that Yeojun’s comments were not directed at a particular person or incident. The company warned that it would respond to malicious rumors and false information.

Audio-only lives are apparently fandom inkblot tests now. Everybody hears the same three seconds and discovers the scandal they were already prepared to believe. If a company has to explain a breath, a room noise, and a hypothetical sentence, we have moved beyond tea and started interrogating steam.
That does not mean idols should never be questioned. It means the evidence should arrive before the verdict. Revolutionary concept, I know.
