Pharita

Pharita is BABYMONSTER’s Thai-English-Korean bridge: a former child model chosen from more than a thousand YG applicants, a vocalist with a polished high tone, and the elegant member whose offstage animal obsession keeps sabotaging the princess edit.

The Thai file started with cameras, not K-pop fancams

Pharita worked as a child model and entered fashion and talent competitions before YG. Thai profiles trace her through runway events, international modeling competitions and the survival program Idol Paradise, where she appeared as Pear. One documented milestone is a grand prize at a 2019 children’s modeling competition in China. The point is not that a trophy destined her for K-pop. The point is that she already understood posture, camera awareness and how to stay composed while adults judged her from a table.

She attended an international school, which explains the fluent English without turning language ability into a magical idol accessory. English interviews are work. So is learning Korean well enough to train, joke and perform inside a company where every evaluation happens faster than a subtitle team.

One of 1,226

Pharita auditioned for YG in July 2020 with BLACKPINK’s “How You Like That.” YG’s introduction material said she was chosen from 1,226 applicants. That number gets repeated because it is dramatic, but the more important part came afterward: being selected only purchased the right to be evaluated again for years.

She trained roughly two and a half to three years before the public BABYMONSTER rollout. YG revealed her sixth in February 2023. In the final Last Evaluation announcement, she ranked fifth and joined the seven-member lineup.

RaeRae translation: “Chosen from 1,226” sounds like a fairy tale. The actual story is a teenager moving countries, changing working languages and discovering that winning the audition merely unlocks the long version of the audition.

The voice YG keeps dressing like glass

Tone

Pharita’s vocal color is bright, clean and slightly airy without disappearing into breath. She is especially useful in pre-choruses and melodic lifts where BABYMONSTER needs polish before the final chorus detonates. Her tone can sit above a dense arrangement without competing with Ahyeon’s belt or Rami’s fuller center.

Acoustic performances, including the Pharita-and-Ahyeon “LIKE THAT” stage, make the phrasing easier to hear because the production stops throwing furniture.

Performance

The modeling history shows in her lines and stillness. She knows where her chin, shoulders and hands are in a frame. Early stages sometimes looked careful next to the group’s louder performers. Later work shows more attack without losing the elegant quality fans liked in the first place.

Growth does not require turning every member into the same kind of swagger machine.

The Thailand bridge without the “next Lisa” trap

Pharita has named BLACKPINK and Lisa as role models, and Lisa recognized her during the trainee period. That connection matters. It also tempts lazy profiles to describe every Thai woman at YG as the next Lisa. Pharita’s function is different: vocalist rather than primary dance-rap weapon, fluent English communicator, and a camera style built on poise more than impact.

She and Chiquita do give Thai MONSTIEZ a direct language connection. They also carry the pressure of representing home while learning the Korean industry in public. That is enough story without assigning them a predecessor’s job.

Fandom notes and things the fact box misses

  • Disney-princess edit: YG staff described her as looking like she stepped out of a Disney film. Fans kept the label because of the features and posture. The woman herself is much more interested in anime and zoo trips than waiting in a tower.
  • Animal file: she loves giraffes and birds and enjoys visiting zoos. The deer emoji works visually, but the full animal enthusiasm is less curated.
  • Beach enemy: she dislikes sand and beaches because feeling dirty ruins the fantasy. A perfectly reasonable position that summer-concept directors will continue to ignore.
  • English line: international interviews often lean on Pharita and Ahyeon. Translating a group’s personality in real time is invisible labor until somebody gets one word wrong.
  • Thai food in Korea: Weverse updates make it clear that moving countries did not erase the menu.
  • Smile and ears: fans use both as quick recognition points, especially when seven-member styling turns identification into a timed exam.
  • Ruka roommate era: early dorm information paired the two oldest members, which helped produce a quieter, dry-humor corner of the group.
RaeRae take: Pharita’s skill is restraint, which is dangerous in a fandom trained to reward the loudest fifteen seconds. She makes songs prettier without making them weaker, and her best improvement has been learning when elegance needs teeth.

Panda Side Quest: Virgo editing, Wood Rooster presentation

Western zodiac – Virgo: August 26 lands in mutable earth. Virgo is associated with observation, refinement and the mildly exhausting ability to notice the one thing that is crooked after everyone else has gone home. Pharita’s controlled camera lines and careful vocal phrasing fit the fun version: elegance built from small corrections, not spontaneous fairy dust.

Chinese zodiac – Wood Rooster: 2005 is the Wood Rooster year. Rooster signs are linked with presentation, confidence, precision and caring how the work looks when it leaves the house. Wood adds flexibility and social growth. Former child model, multilingual idol, hates sand in places sand should not be – honestly, the file writes itself.

Astrology is the panda trail beside the biography. The audition numbers and live stages remain the receipts.
