They were not “the next BTS” for very long
TXT debuted as BIGHIT’s first group after BTS, which meant five teenagers inherited a comparison before they had enough songs for a concert. “Crown” answered with bright synth-pop, horns, antlers, and a lyric about difference becoming connection. The cute surface was real. So was the anxiety underneath it.
The group name means different people gathering under one dream to build a new tomorrow. That could have become corporate wallpaper. Instead, their albums kept testing the idea. What happens when friendship fails? What happens when escape looks prettier than reality? What if growing up changes your body, your loyalties, and the rules of the world at once?
The TXT universe without homework
The Dream Chapter introduced boys who discover magic and connection. The Chaos Chapter broke the safe world apart and pushed them toward rock, rage, and romantic desperation. The Name Chapter dealt with temptation, identity, and the price of staying inside a beautiful lie. The Star Chapter returned to reunion and the harder adult meaning of choosing togetherness.
You can enjoy the songs without diagramming every horn, cat, door, and burning object. The lore works best as emotional continuity, not a final exam. TXT repeatedly turns ordinary youth problems into fantasy danger because ordinary youth problems feel like fantasy danger when you are living through them.
Sound and discography
TXT moves between synth-pop, pop-rock, emo, R&B, disco, trap, hyperpop edges, and soft acoustic material without abandoning its central voice. “Run Away,” “Blue Hour,” “0X1=LOVESONG,” “LO$ER=LO♡ER,” “Sugar Rush Ride,” “Deja Vu,” and “Beautiful Strangers” sound different, but each treats emotion like a place the members physically enter.
The Star Chapter: TOGETHER arrived July 21, 2025 as their fourth Korean studio album. It paired the group title track with five solo songs, one for each member. Yeonjun participated in choreography for “Beautiful Strangers,” and the album concluded the Star Chapter’s search for what “together” actually demands.
Performance identity
TXT choreography is clean without feeling military. Their height makes long lines and mirrored shapes especially effective, but the real strength is character. Soobin carries softness, Yeonjun attacks detail, Beomgyu uses expression and texture, Taehyun performs with athletic focus, and Hueningkai brings scale and openness. Nobody looks interchangeable.
RaeRae take
I came for songs that sounded prettier than the emotional damage they contained. I stayed because TXT understands that growing up is embarrassing, theatrical, lonely, funny, and occasionally improved by running through a field with four friends. Their lore can get drunk on symbolism. The members keep it human.
