Career, not the tiny version
Soobin joined BIGHIT after an online audition and became TXT’s second publicly revealed member. He debuted as leader in 2019 and later hosted Music Bank with Oh My Girl’s Arin from 2020 to 2021. The MC role expanded his public image beyond the shy giant who blinked at cameras as though they had asked a personal question.
His leadership is relational. He notices mood changes, makes space for louder members, and speaks carefully when the group needs a public voice. That softness should not be confused with passivity. TXT’s members have repeatedly described him as the person who makes the team feel stable.
Voice and performance
Soobin’s lower, airy tone works as contrast in a group full of brighter vocal colors. He often carries intimate lines and pre-choruses that need warmth rather than power. On stage, his length makes movement look elegant, while his expression keeps the choreography from becoming cold geometry.
Fandom file
He is famously devoted to KARA, loves bread and games, has a hedgehog named Odi in fandom memory, and can swing from painfully shy to unexpectedly blunt once comfortable. His dimples are treated like public infrastructure.
Individual work
His 2025 solo album track “Sunday Driver” leaned into relaxed intimacy and gave him room outside the group’s heavier lore.
