Jiwoo trained with FNC Entertainment before joining DSP Media, then entered KARD’s lineup with a much shorter DSP training window than the older members. That quick arrival did not make her underprepared. It made her the disruptive color in a group already built around contrast.

Jiwoo entered public view through KARD’s pre-debut project: “Oh NaNa,” “Don’t Recall,” and “Rumor.” Official debut followed with Hola Hola on July 19, 2017. The group’s mixed-gender structure only works when every voice creates a different lane; Jiwoo became the Color Joker ◆ inside that system.

The catalog moved from tropical house into harder festival tracks, emotional abuse imagery on “Gunshot,” reggaeton and Latin-pop influence, the wonderfully sticky “ICKY,” and the late Where To Now? / DRIFT projects. KARD’s international touring—especially its relationship with Latin American audiences—became as central as Korean promotions.

Jiwoo’s lower, textured voice is one of KARD’s defining sounds. She moves between rap and vocal lines without needing a costume change, and her dance carries more attack than ornamental softness. On shows such as Good Girl, she proved the group context was not hiding a weak solo performer; it was simply delaying the album.

Jiwoo released her first EP (EX)IST on February 11, 2026, nine years after KARD’s debut. Title track “Home Sweet Home” opens an individual chapter, while the project expands the darker R&B and performance language fans had been waiting to hear without four-way distribution. She also wrote “Lily.”

The timing matters. All four KARD members reached major solo work around the same closing stretch, just before DSP announced that group activities would conclude after the July 2026 full album and final tour. These records are not side hobbies. They are the bridges into whatever each member becomes next.
