The abandoned church was never the Familia. The people were.
Volume 6 never enters the Dungeon, and that is not a detour. Apollo turns Orario itself into hostile terrain: taverns become traps, rooftops become hunting routes, divine parties become tribunals and a castle becomes the boss room.
The War Game is sold as Bell versus Hyacinthus. The actual book knows better. Lilly defeats the system that owned her, Welf brings the weapons everyone was afraid he would make, Mikoto transfers for one year because gratitude needs a body, Lyu commits a crime for a family she technically does not belong to, and Hestia learns that loving Bell does not mean keeping the Familia small enough to fit inside her anxiety.
