Gong YuBin
Before tripleS gave Gong YuBin an S-number, a fan-voted Dimension, and twenty-three roommates, Korean television already knew her as a child cook. She went from finishing near the top of I Am Chef to becoming one of tripleS’s earliest and most frequently deployed all-rounders.
The child-cooking-show chapter
YuBin was born in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province. Her first substantial television credit was not a survival show for idols. At twelve, she competed on TV Chosun’s junior cooking program I Am Chef and reached the final group. MODHAUS’s official profile records her as the runner-up, while later fan summaries often describe her as Top 3. Either way, she was not eliminated while trying to identify salt.
The cooking background remains part of tripleS content because it is an actual skill rather than filler trivia. YuBin is especially associated with rolled omelets and has cooked for members on camera. It also explains some of her variety instincts. A child who has already worked under timed television pressure is less likely to freeze because a SIGNAL camera appears in the kitchen.
The trainee years
Before MODHAUS, YuBin trained within the larger Korean agency system. Profiles and her own later accounts connect her to Source Music and to trainees who would debut elsewhere. That history should be handled carefully because fandom retellings often merge HYBE, Source Music, and JYP into one blurry pre-debut rumor. The durable point is that she spent years in training before tripleS and arrived with both vocal and dance preparation.
Apink inspired her interest in becoming an idol. The influence makes sense for someone whose strengths are balanced rather than built around one extreme specialty. When all twenty-four members finally assembled for “Girls Never Die” in 2024, YuBin moved from early-member familiarity into one face inside K-pop’s largest active girl-group lineup. She also joined Visionary Vision, the dance-focused twelve-member Dimension behind Performante. That selection matters more than an unofficial “lead dancer” label because the unit itself was built around performance.

tripleS returned as a complete twenty-four-member group on June 1, 2026 with ASSEMBLE26 LOVE & POP Part 1 and the title track “Baby Flower.” The release matters for YuBin because tripleS alternates between Dimensions and full-team assemblies. Every full-group comeback tests whether a member can remain visually and musically legible inside one of K-pop’s largest active lineups.
“Baby Flower” placed the group in a hopeful pop setting rather than simply repeating Visionary Vision’s harder performance identity. YuBin’s experience across Acid Angel from Asia, LOVElution, Visionary Vision, and full-team albums makes her one of the members best equipped for those shifts.
