The profile
The practical captain who knows Apollo chased her across cities until surrender—and still obeys because divine family has made duty out of the wound.
Daphne tells Bell the truth Apollo’s ballroom performance hides: she and Cassandra refused him, ran and were pursued until they gave in. Her obedience is therefore not proof Apollo inspires healthy devotion. It is evidence that coercion can become an institution after the chase ends.
On the battlefield, Daphne remains competent and dutiful. She dismisses Cassandra’s prophecy, protects Apollo Familia’s position and eventually faces Welf. Volume 6 never asks the reader to confuse understanding her history with pretending her choices cannot harm other people.
