The man who still wants the wine and tears Lilly’s lock out anyway—because addiction does not erase the line Zanis crossed.

The profile
The man who still wants the wine and tears Lilly’s lock out anyway—because addiction does not erase the line Zanis crossed.
Chandra is not written as a miraculous convert to virtue. He remains inside Soma Familia, remains drawn to Divine Wine and refuses to make himself emotionally available to Lilly. What he does offer is a boundary. Zanis has turned the household into something Chandra will no longer help maintain.
Ripping out the prison lock matters because Chandra acts without demanding gratitude or a cleaner biography. Volume 6 lets a compromised person perform one decisive refusal and treats the refusal as useful without declaring every other problem solved.
