Before BLACKPINK

Jisoo joined YG Entertainment as a trainee in 2011. She had acting ambitions before debut, appeared in advertisements and music videos, and made a cameo in The Producers while the company’s next girl group was still being assembled. Unlike a story where someone trains for one exact job, Jisoo’s early file already crossed singing, screen work and commercial modeling.

When BLACKPINK debuted in 2016, her lower, huskier tone became essential to the group’s vocal balance. BLACKPINK’s DEADLINE return in 2026

JISOO entered 2026 as both an active solo artist and a current BLACKPINK member. YG Entertainment released BLACKPINK’s third mini album DEADLINE on February 27, the group’s first full-group album in roughly four years. The five-track record includes “JUMP,” “GO,” “Me and my,” “Champion” and “Fxxxboy.”

The comeback followed the DEADLINE world tour, which began in Goyang in July 2025 and concluded after 33 shows across 16 cities. January 2026 dates included Tokyo Dome and Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong. JISOO’s participation provides a direct current-membership checkpoint rather than relying on an old debut lineup.

Her solo and group careers are managed separately. BLISSOO handles her individual activities, while YG Entertainment manages BLACKPINK group promotions. That arrangement explains why AMORTAGE, acting projects and solo appearances can run alongside a YG group album without implying that she left BLACKPINK.

AMORTAGE, acting and the individual catalog

JISOO released the four-track mini album AMORTAGE in February 2025 through BLISSOO and Warner Records. “earthquake” led the project, with “Your Love,” “TEARS” and “Hugs & Kisses” completing a compact sequence built around stages of romance. The title combines amour and montage, matching the album’s cinematic framing.

Her acting catalog remains part of the same profile but not part of her music discography. After Snowdrop, she continued expanding screen work through Newtopia and later projects.
