From Boys Planet to a real debut
Minseoung, Junhyeon, Keonhee, and Woojin entered Boys Planet as Redstart trainees. None reached the final ZEROBASEONE lineup, but all four left with recognition and a visible team dynamic. Redstart used that momentum for the August 2023 pre-debut mini album Frame the Blueprint: Prelude to Possibilities, led by a remake of Click-B’s “Undefeated.”
That first era was not the official debut. In March 2024, the company added Shin Yechan, then launched the five-member TIOT with Kick-START and “ROCK THANG” on April 22. The distinction matters because databases often flatten pre-debut and debut dates into one confusing blob. TIOT existed publicly in 2023. The five-member group formally debuted in 2024.
The name is commonly expanded as “Time Is Our Turn.” Their sound moves between performance-heavy rookie pop, sentimental tracks, and an unexpected interest in remaking older Korean songs. “RUN RUN BAREFOOT” returned to BUCK’s 1997 hit instead of pretending the late 1990s began with a TikTok filter.
