RESCENE went from struggling for music-show slots to collecting group endorsements like somebody unlocked the commercial district in a simulation game.
The endorsement pile
On July 21, 2026, Dong-A Otsuka announced RESCENE as the new models for Narangd Cider Zero. Past models included Taeyeon and PSY, so this was not a tiny rookie coupon campaign dressed up as a brand ambassadorship.
Fans counted roughly seven active group deals around the announcement. The list included Mituno lenses, ELITE school uniforms, FC Mobile, CU convenience stores, Casa Verdi furniture, Domino’s Pizza, and Narangd Cider. HOLLYS and BHC Chicken were also circulating as rumored additions, but rumor is not confirmation, so those stay in the waiting room.

This was not truly overnight
International viewers often describe RESCENE’s rise as one meme exploding overnight. Korean fans pushed back. Woni’s driving content had already reached older office-worker audiences. The “Geoje, yaho!” clips hit younger viewers. University festival appearances built a live reputation. The dialect controversy pulled the group into a broader public argument. Different parts of the Korean audience found them through different doors.
The deals arrived quickly because the groundwork did not. RESCENE had two years of songs, visuals, events, and awkward small-channel appearances ready for the algorithm to recommend after the first viral click. People came for Woni and Minami being funny. They stayed long enough to discover “Heart Drop”, “Love Attack,” and “Pinball.”
The money question nobody likes asking
Woni later discussed wanting to buy her mother beef with her first paycheck. That reopened the standard K-pop question about trainee debt, operating costs, and when young performers actually see income after years of work. Public endorsement totals do not tell us the members’ contracts or take-home pay. They do tell us the group finally has revenue streams beyond album sales and appearances.
I am not pretending every commercial is artistic fulfillment. I am saying a small-company group needs money to keep making expensive dreamy music videos. If a cider ad helps pay for the next bassline, I will survive the product placement.
Why brands wanted all five
The biggest difference between this rise and a single-member fancam explosion is that Woni’s channel gradually introduced the rest of RESCENE. Minami had gyaru chaos. Zena had dialect and spoiler energy. Liv and May developed their own comedy pairing. Advertisers were not buying one famous face standing in front of four coworkers. They could market a group with several recognizable personalities.
That is the real tea. RESCENE did not only go viral. They converted attention into a commercial identity before the attention found another toy.
