Before ALL(H)OURS
Minje grew up in Gangneung and attended Hanlim Multi Art School’s broadcasting and entertainment department. EDEN invited him to audition, and the pre-debut “WAO WAO” performance became a turning point: filming it made him believe the seven trainees could become the final team.
Music, performance and work
Minje often handles melodic passages that reset the ear after rap or chant-heavy sections. In “GIMME GIMME,” the singing has to prevent one repeated demand from becoming an industrial loop. WITNESS, Smoke Point, VCF and NO DOUBT gradually give him smoother colors and more room to prove that powerful performance music still needs an actual melody.
Training and debut context
Minje’s route into ALL(H)OURS combined arts-school study with an agency invitation to audition. Hanlim Multi Art School placed him near other young performers, but school enrollment is not the same as surviving a debut process. EDEN Entertainment still had to build seven trainees into a team capable of delivering choreography, live vocals, and synchronized camera work under rookie-stage pressure.
The pre-debut performance “WAO WAO” mattered because it gave Minje evidence that the lineup could function as a real group. ALL(H)OURS then debuted on January 10, 2024, with the mini album ALL OURS and “Gotcha.” The group’s name combines “all ours” with “all hours,” promising complete commitment from Kunho, Youmin, Xayden, Masami, Minje, Hyunbin, and On:N.
Era map
ALL OURS and “Gotcha”: The debut emphasized hard percussion and fast formation changes. Minje’s melodic lines were important because they gave the ear a stable route through production designed to hit before it explained itself.
WITNESS and “Shock”: The group intensified its performance identity. The era asked Minje to maintain recognizable vocal color inside heavier staging, and the extended bleaching process became a visible reminder that concept work includes hours of preparation before the camera turns on.
Later releases: Projects including Smoke Point, VCF, and NO DOUBT expanded the catalog and gave the vocal line more opportunities to shape transitions instead of merely filling space between rap sections. “GIMME GIMME” especially demonstrates why repeated hooks need melodic contrast to avoid flattening into one texture.
Voice and group function
Minje contributes clarity. His voice can lift a dense arrangement, connect contrasting sections, and keep an aggressive song emotionally legible. That does not mean he exists only to soften the group. Strong melodic delivery can increase impact by making the next chant or drop feel larger.
Onstage he also has to preserve breath support while executing ALL(H)OURS’ demanding choreography. Full-stage footage is the useful test: clean studio lines matter, but so do posture, recovery between counts, and the ability to return to pitch after a high-energy sequence.
Member profile scope
Minje has no verified formal solo music debut. He belongs in the Member directory as a current ALL(H)OURS member but not in the Solo Artist directory. Covers, school performances, individual photos, and variety appearances remain documented here unless an official release establishes a separate solo discography.
The panda side quest
Minje likes films, sleeping, snacks and beverages with a level of enthusiasm that apparently includes water. He once sprained an ankle in his sleep, which feels statistically impossible and spiritually on brand for an idol whose work hours are already hostile to joints. His “SHOCK” hair bleaching reportedly took five to six hours.
