Name and search clarity
Liz is her stage name; her birth name is Kim Jiwon. Because several Korean entertainers share the name Kim Ji-won, “Liz IVE” is the clearest way to identify her.
The English stage name also prevents confusion between her and actors, athletes and other singers named Jiwon.
From Jeju to Starship
Liz was born and raised on Jeju Island before moving to Seoul for training. Starship introduced her as IVE’s fourth revealed member in November 2021.
She debuted with “ELEVEN” on December 1, 2021. Her light-blonde debut styling made her immediately recognizable, but the reason she remained essential after the hair color changed was her voice.
What Liz contributes to IVE
IVE’s songs often depend on contrast: expensive surfaces, private uncertainty and choruses built to feel larger than the room. Liz is one of the main reasons that contrast has emotional weight.
Vocal highlights
Her most revealing work is not limited to one signature note. “ELEVEN” established the tone, “LOVE DIVE” used her as a melodic anchor, “I AM” gave her a large-scale anthem to climb, and album tracks have repeatedly shown a softer, more controlled side.
Live stages also make her role clearer than line-count arguments. She supports choruses, handles exposed transitions and supplies a distinct voice that remains identifiable even inside the full six-member blend.
Collaboration: Nobody
In 2023, Liz joined (G)I-DLE’s Soyeon and aespa’s Winter for the collaborative single “Nobody.” The project placed three fourth-generation idols from different groups in one vocal-and-performance lineup without inventing a permanent new group.
For site relationships, the song belongs on each participating artist’s profile while Liz remains a member of IVE.

Solo music career
Liz has built a substantial separately credited OST catalog outside IVE, including “Summer,” “Heavy Love,” “First Snow That Day,” and “Tunnel.” Those commercial soundtrack releases establish her solo-artist eligibility independently of member-only material inside group albums.
