KISS OF LIFE members Julie Natty Belle and Haneul together
K-POP GROUP FILE · FOUR SOLO RÉSUMÉS · R&B WITH A WORKING SPINE

KISS OF LIFE

Active girl group · 2023–present

KISS OF LIFE debuted in 2023 like somebody remembered an idol group could introduce four actual women before asking us to memorize a logo. Julie brought six years of major-company training, Natty brought two survival shows and a solo career, Belle arrived with songwriting credits, and Haneul became the clean vocal glue beside three extremely loud résumés. Their best music treats R&B as sound, structure and attitude—not a pair of tiny sunglasses pasted onto a dance track.

THE NAME FILE

A breath of fresh air, with CPR paperwork

The name refers to a kiss that brings somebody back to life: CPR as pop-group metaphor. S2 framed the group as a fresh breath for the industry. The marketing line works because the debut did something genuinely useful. Four solo films introduced four different musical identities before “Bye My Neverland” connected their stories and “Shhh” put them in one room.

KISSY is the official fandom name. It is cute, obvious and easier to explain than many fifth-generation naming ceremonies. Official memberships belong on the agency or verified regional fan platforms; the benefit is access to announced membership content, presales or events when those benefits are specifically listed—not a magical guarantee of tickets.

THE FORMATION FILE

Four separate résumés became one debut story

Lee Hae-in was not merely handed four finished trainees and a color palette. She participated in forming the team and shaped the connected visual rollout. Julie’s “Kitty Cat,” Natty’s “Sugarcoat,” Belle’s “Countdown” and Haneul’s “Play Love Games” functioned as character files. “Bye My Neverland” joined them before “Shhh” made the group official.

That structure remains the best explanation for why KIOF felt older than a rookie team. The audience met motives, voices and contradictions first. Profile tables came later.

The debut films did not waste four solo careers

Julie’s “Kitty Cat” uses hip-hop posture without asking her to rap at emergency speed. Natty’s “Sugarcoat” became the breakout because the slinky R&B pocket fits a performer who already knows stillness can be more magnetic than eight extra moves. Belle’s “Countdown” makes the songwriter sing through her own architecture. Haneul’s “Play Love Games” gives the least famous member a bright, clean introduction instead of asking her to wait behind the veterans.

“Bye My Neverland” and “Shhh” then connect individual choices into a group statement. This is the standard more companies should steal: if every member is supposed to matter, prove it before the first chorus.

The catalog earns chapters because the sound actually moves

KISS OF LIFE · 2023

Four solo films, “Bye My Neverland” and “Shhh” establish the connected debut universe.

Born to be XX · 2023

“Bad News” announces itself loudly; “Nobody Knows” proves the group understands slow-burn R&B.

Midas Touch · 2024

A compact single album with glossy 2000s pop precision and “Nothing” waiting behind the title.

Sticky / R.E.M · 2024

Summer movement followed by a softer pre-release that widened the vocal file.

Lose Yourself · 2024

“Get Loud” pushes the performance scale; “Igloo” becomes the B-side that refuses to stay a B-side.

224 · 2025

“Lips Hips Kiss” chooses slow heat over a summer sprint; “k bye” closes the conversation in two minutes and change.

Tokyo Mission Start · 2025

Japanese debut with original song “Lucky” and a Japanese version of “Sticky.”

Who is she / BREAK IT · 2026

The 2026 file continues after the lineup’s first major creative transition.

R&B is the spine, not a comeback costume

The group borrows from late-1990s and early-2000s R&B, hip-hop and pop because the members can carry the required spaces. Natty understands the pocket. Julie gives verses attack without turning every bar into a contest. Belle builds vocal peaks and harmony stacks. Haneul keeps the blend stable when everybody else arrives with a headline.

The arrangements are not perfect. Sometimes Belle’s top note is asked to do the emotional work a bridge should have done. Sometimes the performance concept becomes louder than the song. But “Nobody Knows,” “Sugarcoat,” “Midas Touch,” “Igloo” and “Lips Hips Kiss” sound related without sounding duplicated. That is a catalog identity.

The controversy belongs in the record without swallowing the music

An April 2025 birthday livestream used an old-school hip-hop theme that crossed into racial caricature. The upload was removed, S2 apologized, the members apologized, KCON LA participation was withdrawn, and later legal action addressed harassment. Intent does not erase impact; harassment does not become acceptable because criticism was justified. The full chronology and receipts live in the linked Tea file so this profile can keep the history visible without turning every song paragraph into a courtroom.

Lee Hae-in’s departure is a different kind of Tea: a creative transition. S2 said she had stopped visual directing around November 2024, and 2025’s 224 became the first major test of whether KIOF’s identity lived inside the members or only inside one director’s planning document.

The KISSY starter file

  • KIOF: the common short name for KISS OF LIFE.
  • KISSY: official fandom name.
  • Sugarcoat Natty: the solo film that recruited a very large percentage of the fandom.
  • Solo introductions: not side quests; they are the first chapter of the group story.
  • Julie leader file: calm authority built after years inside large trainee systems.
  • Belle credits: check the exact role—lyrics, composition, guide vocal or background vocal—before turning “worked on” into “wrote the entire song.”
  • Haneul defense desk: the least dramatic résumé is still doing essential musical labor.

The panda side quest

Watch the debut solos in release order, then “Bye My Neverland” and “Shhh.” Follow Natty backward into SIXTEEN, Idol School, “Nineteen” and “Teddy Bear.” Follow Julie into the trainee documentary material and ballet background. Read Belle’s actual credits rather than a fan-made inflation list. Watch Haneul in full-group live material and listen for the note that makes everybody else sound more expensive. Finish with the creative-director timeline and the birthday-livestream Tea file. Side quests are more fun when the receipts survive them.

RAERAE TAKE

The group works because four women arrived from four different doors

KISS OF LIFE is strongest when nobody is being flattened into “the member who does the high note” or “the one from the survival show.” Julie has restraint, Natty has earned camera confidence, Belle understands song construction, and Haneul knows how to make four voices sound like a group.

The concept team has also proved it can misunderstand the culture it is borrowing from. I am not deleting that because the songs are good. I am also not pretending the music vanished after one ugly livestream. A real fan file can hold talent, bad judgment, apology, consequences and growth in the same folder. That is what the receipts are for.
