Career
Child modeling and SM Rookies
Jeno worked as a child model before entering SM’s trainee system and appearing through SM Rookies. That early camera familiarity carried into an idol career where facial control and exact visual timing matter almost as much as memorizing the choreography.
NCT DREAM
He debuted with NCT DREAM in 2016 and lived through the unit’s entire conceptual rewrite: the youthful debut, graduation anxiety, Mark’s temporary departure, the 2020 end of graduation and the fixed seven-member era. Across “Chewing Gum,” “GO,” “BOOM,” “Ridin’,” “Hot Sauce,” “Glitch Mode,” “ISTJ,” “Smoothie,” “CHILLER” and later releases, his delivery grew heavier without losing rhythmic clarity.
Jeno remains a current member. The fixed 7DREAM structure is the canonical group, even when individual schedules change the lineup visible on a particular stage.
Rap and performance
Jeno’s rap tone is low, firm and built for contrast against DREAM’s brighter vocals. He often supplies weight at the exact moment an arrangement risks floating away. As a dancer, he favors clean angles, strong stops and controlled power rather than motion for its own sake.
His performance identity is partly the gap between contexts. Offstage he can seem measured and almost shy; onstage the lines sharpen and the camera gets treated like it owes him money.
NCT JNJM
Jeno and Jaemin’s 2026 duo NCT JNJM is a real unit with its own principal billing. That music belongs on a unit record when one exists and can be discussed here as part of his career. A two-person unit is not a Jeno solo debut, just as NCT U features do not make every participant a solo artist.
