Volume 3 · Arcs · Full spoilers
Six actual movements. Not an arbitrary number repeated from another book.

The story’s six movements
Movement 1
The trauma is named
Freya and Ottar identify the first Minotaur as the restraint still chained to Bell’s soul.
Movement 2
A mentor is made
Aiz apologizes, agrees to train Bell and learns that teaching a weaker person requires attention as well as strength.
Movement 3
The trial is engineered
Ottar raises the Minotaur into a deliberate opponent while Freya turns Bell’s psychological wound into spectacle.
Movement 4
The witnesses arrive
Lilly accompanies Bell; Loki Familia’s expedition crosses the same floor; Tiona carries the story language the climax needs.
Movement 5
The rematch is chosen
Bell refuses rescue, accepts fear as information and fights toward the hero he has wanted to become since childhood.
Movement 6
Page zero becomes page one
Level Two closes Part One, but the dream of his grandfather and Hestia’s quiet verdict refuse to call the journey finished.
The arc tracker · Expanded
Five movements turn one old defeat into Bell’s first public myth
ARC 1 · THE BLANK SLATE THAT ISN’T
Bell and Lilly resume the partnership
Bell offers Lilly an honest contract after the betrayal. Lilly accepts the work but cannot yet accept forgiveness without punishment. Cinder Ella keeps her hidden because Soma Familia still owns her Falna, and she refuses Hestia’s transfer invitation rather than bringing that danger into the church.
The arc establishes the book’s moral baseline: a second chance does not erase institutional threat or emotional aftermath. Bell’s refusal to reduce Lilly to her worst act gives her room to choose differently; it does not perform the choosing for her.
ARC 2 · THE APOLOGY AND THE WALL
Aiz becomes a teacher instead of a distant goal
Aiz apologizes for the original Minotaur escaping Loki Familia. Bell has interpreted the rescue as proof of his own failure; she has carried responsibility from the other side. Their dawn training replaces symbolic distance with repeated work.
Bell learns kicks, whole-body movement, timing and peripheral awareness. Aiz learns that Level Six strength needs calibration when the student is Level One. The lap pillows are comic recovery, but the emotional movement is serious: both finally learn that the encounter mattered to the other person.
ARC 3 · FREYA WRITES THE EXAM
Ottar turns diagnosis into a trained Minotaur
Freya correctly identifies Bell’s obstacle as trauma rather than inadequate statistics. She responds by ordering a rematch. Ottar captures, defeats, trains and arms a Minotaur capable of recreating the terror with greater force.
The arc’s tension comes from the split between insight and ethics. Freya understands Bell better than many people close to him. She still treats that understanding as permission to curate a potentially fatal trial for private fascination.
ARC 4 · THE REFUSED RESCUE
Bell freezes, then asks Aiz to let him fight
The Minotaur appears and Bell’s body remembers the fifth floor before his new abilities can speak. Aiz and Loki Familia arrive with enough power to end the danger. Bell refuses the rescue because repeating the old ending would leave the fear in charge.
This is not a rejection of community. Aiz’s training and Lilly’s witness are inside every decision Bell makes. His request is narrower: let the final choice be his, even when everybody present understands the cost.
ARC 5 · ARGONAUT BECOMES PRESENT TENSE
The cleaver breaks and Level 2 becomes page one
Tiona recognizes the battle as the Argonaut myth: a blundering hero keeps moving until he faces a bull-monster. Bell uses Aiz’s technique, Firebolt, the Hestia Knife and judgment that survives panic. The trained cleaver finally shatters.
Bell wins in front of first-tier adventurers, collapses and wakes into a public record. His exposed S-rank statistics shock Loki Familia; the Guild confirms Level 2 after one month and 3,001 kills. Hestia reads the achievement on his back and calls it the first page rather than the finish.
Why the structure works
Each movement adds a different kind of authorship: Lilly supplies witness, Aiz supplies technique, Freya supplies the unethical trial, Tiona supplies mythic recognition and Bell supplies the decision nobody else can make for him.
