Before ONEUS
Hwanwoong trained at RBW after studying practical dance at the School of Performing Arts Seoul, where he was known as a top student. He also appeared on Produce 101 Season 2. Long before debut, the point was obvious: this was not a vocalist learning choreography. This was a dancer building an idol career around a body that already understood the camera.
Why the group needs Hwanwoong
He is ONEUS’s performance center in everything but a permanently printed title. His strength is not only precision. He changes texture. A move can look playful, predatory, theatrical, or exhausted depending on what the song needs, and his face arrives at the same decision before the camera asks.
Solo work and credits
Hwanwoong released Radar in 2025 and has participated in choreography and lyrics across ONEUS material. During the X era, his rap and stage control helped the four-member performance feel deliberately built rather than temporarily patched.

Offstage, he is smaller, softer, and funnier than the stage version suggests. Onstage, height becomes irrelevant in about three seconds. The camera does not measure centimeters. It measures who made it look first.
