Huángjīn Suǒzi Jiǎ (黄金锁子甲), the Golden Chainmail Armor
Imagine being a Dragon King, peacefully ruling your underwater palace, when a random monkey breaks in with the confidence of someone who has never heard the word consequences.
He does not knock. He does not introduce himself. He simply announces that he needs armor worthy of a future legend.
The dragons try to offer respectable treasures, but Wu Kong treats the entire palace like a boutique and himself like a VIP customer. This one is too light. This one is not dramatic enough. This one does not match the aesthetic of someone planning to fight the heavens by next Tuesday.
By the time they bring out the Huángjīn Suǒzi Jiǎ, the Golden Chainmail Armor, the Four Sea Dragon Kings are emotionally done. It is their finest golden chainmail armor, a divine masterpiece that took centuries to craft. Wu Kong tries it on, admires his reflection like he is modeling for the mythical Met Gala, and immediately decides it is perfect.
Then he walks out wearing it.
No payment. No receipt. No thank you. Just a monkey strolling off in full golden drip, leaving the Dragon Palace in stunned silence.
That is how Wu Kong acquires the Huángjīn Suǒzi Jiǎ. A battle ready, heaven resistant, glow in the dark armor set that he absolutely did not buy. And the armor itself seems to shout the same thing Wu Kong does every time he picks a fight.
Do you even lift, celestial beings?
