What she is coming back from
Qin Xuelian was Shen Nian’s closest friend and Yin Yang was the man who wanted her, and the two of them were involved with each other the entire time. Between them they spent years steering Shen Nian: away from the Shen family, out of her education, and into resenting an arranged marriage to Lu Cheng that she never gave a chance. She worked out what had been done to her and then died in an explosion. Lu Cheng went in after her and spent the rest of a very short life paying for it. He never remarried. In her first life he accepted the blame for their divorce.
She wakes shortly after the wedding, which is the cruelest and most useful possible landing point. Nothing has been destroyed yet. All of it is still ahead of her, and she is the only person who knows.

Death, Rebirth, and Returning to the Lu Family
She learns the truth behind the arranged marriage, reunites with Lu Cheng, and willingly goes back to the Lu family. Her sudden affection completely bewilders him, which is the joke the first act runs on. She begins repairing the marriage and earning her way back into his family’s good opinion.
Breaking Qin Xuelian’s Influence
Qin Xuelian comes to the Lu house to reassert control, questioning Shen Nian’s commitment to the marriage in front of people. Shen Nian rejects the manipulation publicly. In the same stretch she discovers the Space and the Spirit Spring attached to her jade pendant, the first advantage of the second life.
The False Letter and Lu Cheng’s Mission
With Lu Cheng back on duty, Qin Xuelian produces a letter supposedly proving Shen Nian wants out of the marriage. Shen Nian picks the forgery apart and refuses to let the story be told for her. Lu Cheng is meanwhile ordered onto a dangerous mission and has to put duty ahead of getting home.
The Stolen Score Report
The Space transforms significantly, and Shen Nian realizes her college entrance examination score report is missing. It leads back to Qin Xuelian, working with Yin Yang, who took it to steal her academic future outright. Shen Nian confronts them and pushes the whole thing toward the police rather than letting it stay village gossip.
The Train Trafficking and Hostage Crisis
Missing Lu Cheng, she gets on a train to the base without telling anyone. On board she identifies a group of traffickers moving abducted children and gets word to the railway police. The interception at C City Station turns into a hostage situation with a knife at her throat. Lu Cheng arrives with his unit, realizes the hostage is his wife, and gets her out. The traffickers are taken.
Reunion at the Military Base
After that he is not letting her out of his sight, so she comes to the base. She meets his soldiers, sees the reputation behind the name Yama Lu up close, and is adopted wholesale as their sister-in-law. Away from Shuanghe Town the marriage finally gets room, and this is where it becomes real on both sides.
The Divine Physician Inheritance
The Space turns out to hold far more than the spring. She meets the remnant soul of its former master, learns that what was left of his power is part of why her fate reversed at all, and is accepted as his disciple. She inherits spiritual fields, medical texts, prescriptions, acupuncture, cultivation methods and tools. By chapter 130 her abilities are conspicuous enough that someone may have noticed.
The Provincial Top Scorer Investigation
Through another medical emergency she and Lu Cheng meet Li Zhihe, director of the L County Education Bureau, who tells her something nobody ever did: she was the provincial top scorer. That is the actual scale of what was taken. He restores the score report and opens an investigation, becoming extremely helpful once he registers who Lu Cheng is.
Prosecution for Interfering with a Military Marriage
This is where it stops being personal and becomes a criminal matter. Lu Cheng reveals he recorded Qin Xuelian admitting what she did. Yin Yang surrenders and gives evidence against her to reduce his own exposure. Officer Li Mu pursues the charge of interfering with a military marriage, which in this setting is not a minor offense.
Returning Home as a United Couple
The couple settle into openly affectionate married life. Lu Cheng backs her university plans and her military dependent registration. They prepare to visit the Shen household together and thank the people who helped during the trafficking case. Shen Nian’s worry that someone has worked out the Space leaves the first act on a turn.

This is the part that makes the book unusual. The revenge plot is finished by chapter 130 and there are more than two thousand chapters left. What fills them is a career, a family and a marriage.
First Patients and Rural Enterprise, then the Provincial Capital
She starts actually practising medicine and builds agricultural, food and commercial ventures that pull both families up with her. Then she moves into the provincial capital and the military circle around it, reunites with Lu Cheng, and the marriage deepens physically and emotionally.
Great-Family Conflict and the Hidden Older Sister
The Chu, Meng, He and Gu networks collide. Shen Nian’s acupuncture and Lu Cheng’s authority both become publicly significant. Secrets around Gu Zifan and Chu Lingxiu surface, and Shen Nian picks up increasingly powerful protection. Her own adoption and unknown biological parents stay live throughout: her brothers Shen Xiangdong and Shen Xiangnan both know, accept her completely, and choose to keep it from their parents.
University Arrival and Recognition
She enrols at B University, runs into status-based bullying from Cao Yuqing, and builds a roommate alliance with Qi Yunzhi and Wang Chunhua. Chu Lingxiu breaks with Gu Shuxin. The biological family thread advances properly here.
Enterprise, Household Growth, and the Substitute Vessel
Her healing reputation and practical influence expand while the allied families deal with recurring social, business and domestic pressure. Then the stakes go up hard: medical danger, powerful-family confrontation, and the substitute vessel threat, which pushes both her abilities and Lu Cheng’s protection network as far as they go.
Consolidation and Resolution
Family, reputation, security and future all stabilise. The central Shen Nian and Lu Cheng story reaches a happy, forward-facing ending with the marriage, the family network, the medical legacy and their security all intact. The remaining Gu-family status conflicts get their own conclusion afterward.
Past that the novel runs side stories. The current one follows Gu Hengzhi and Ye Ruoxin, reunited as adults after years apart, with Gu Hengzhi recognising that what he feels now is not the protective affection he had for her as a child. Chapter 2307 is the latest chapter in the public source catalog as of July 2026.
