BABYMONSTER Is Officially Seven and Touring as Six,Yes, That Sentence Needs Watching
YG still describes a seven-member group. The CHOOM tour opened without Rami while she remains paused for health reasons. Do not turn the gap into a resignation letter.

Tea with receipts
These are the published sources behind the timeline. RaeRae commentary is mine. Claims remain claims unless the linked reporting confirms them.
The Seoul shows made the operating lineup visible
BABYMONSTER opened its second world tour, CHOOM, with three sold-out nights at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in June. The Korea Times’ concert review praised the group’s exposed live vocals and noted the fact fandom could not miss: Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Ahyeon, Rora, and Chiquita performed while Rami, paused for health reasons, was absent.
That does not make BABYMONSTER a six-member group. Korea JoongAng Daily’s tour report still described the act as a seven-member group and listed Rami among the members while announcing 27 Asia and Oceania concerts across 18 cities.
Official identity
Seven members: Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Ahyeon, Rami, Rora, and Chiquita.
Current stage reality
Six members opened the CHOOM tour while Rami remained on health hiatus.
Not announced
A permanent departure, contract termination, or fixed date for her return.
BABYMONSTER has been here before, but not in the same way
The group’s launch already taught fans how unstable “the lineup” can feel. Ahyeon missed “Batter Up” for health reasons, then joined the group’s official seven-member debut with BABYMONS7ER. That history makes people hopeful about Rami, and also encourages them to treat two different people’s health situations as the same script.
They are not the same script. A previous member returned; therefore a current member can return. It does not mean anyone outside Rami, her doctors, and the company knows when or whether her exact recovery will follow that shape.
The tour is too large for the question to stay small
The CHOOM tour spans multiple continents, with 27 Asia and Oceania concerts announced before the remaining regions were fully revealed. YG sold the Seoul run immediately and built the album around dance and live performance. Every new leg requires formations, arrangements, travel, rehearsal, and stamina to be planned around the people who can currently participate.
That is why fans read six-member photos and stages as information. They are information about the present. They are not automatically information about the contract or final lineup.
My read
BABYMONSTER sounds frighteningly good live as six. Saying that is not erasing Rami. Refusing to call the group permanently six is not denying what is happening onstage. We can hold both facts without making them fight in a parking lot.
I want YG to give meaningful health updates when Rami is ready, not vague reassurance on a timer and not silence long enough for rumor accounts to become substitute management. Until then, the respectful language is boring but accurate: seven-member group, six currently active on tour, one recovering.
Keep digging: BABYMONSTER · Rami · all Tea
