BABYMONSTER did not become a six-member group. Rami did not quietly leave. YG has kept the official lineup at seven while active promotions and the CHOOM tour continue with six members during her health hiatus. Those sentences can all be true at once—and pretending the gap is not emotionally loud does not help anybody.

What actually happened
On May 9, 2025, YG Entertainment announced that Rami would pause activities because persistent health issues required rest on medical advice. She would miss the group’s Asia tour dates and focus on recovery. That was not a vague “personal reasons” notice fandom had to translate through seventeen anonymous accounts. The company connected the absence to health and explicitly framed it as a pause.
On June 23, 2025, YG confirmed that BABYMONSTER’s “HOT SAUCE” activities would proceed with six members because Rami still needed ample recovery time. Later releases, performances and touring plans continued around that six-person working lineup.
The official profile did not delete her. The group did not announce a withdrawal. Current YG materials still list Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Ahyeon, Rami, Rora and Chiquita as BABYMONSTER. That is the boring administrative fact underneath a very non-boring emotional situation.

Lineup language matters because K-pop fans have learned to read silence like weather radar. A member can be technically included while disappearing from new recordings, merchandise, choreography, documentary footage and future plans. Sometimes that limbo ends with a return. Sometimes it ends with a contract announcement months after everyone already understood the shape of the room.
BABYMONSTER’s situation has one important difference: YG has continued naming Rami in the official seven-member profile. That protects the basic fact of membership. It does not answer the human question of how long recovery takes or what returning to a touring schedule would require.
The correct fan response is not to diagnose her from old footage, count weight changes, or turn every company upload into a conspiracy board. It is to keep the file accurate: seven official members, six currently active, Rami on hiatus, return unconfirmed.
The CHOOM tour made the absence larger
A world tour is not one television stage somebody can sit out. It is choreography built for months, solo stages, travel, rehearsals, repeated high-impact performance and promotional filming across continents. YG announced the 2026–27 CHOOM tour as BABYMONSTER’s second world tour, beginning in Seoul and expanding through Asia, Oceania, Europe, North America and South America.
That scale explains why the company cannot simply slot a recovering member into the next airport photo. It also explains why fans feel the absence more strongly now. The longer the performance system is rebuilt for six bodies, the more visible the empty seventh lane becomes.

I hate the fake certainty people bring to health hiatuses. “She is definitely coming back next month” and “she is obviously gone” are the same bad habit wearing different fandom wigs. We know what YG has said. We know what the stage currently looks like. We do not know Rami’s private medical file, and I am not going to build fan entertainment out of guessing it.
The honest position is uncomfortable: I want her back, I want her healthy enough to stay back, and those wants may not follow the same calendar. BABYMONSTER can be excellent as six onstage without rewriting the fact that the group is seven.
