Baby DONT Cry

Active girl group · 2025–present

Yihyun, Kumi, Mia and Beni are P NATION”s first girl group: four teenagers introduced with Soyeon”s creative fingerprints, a guitar-smile pre-debut song, one spectacularly avoidable teaser scandal and a catalog determined to make softness sound like defiance.

THE NAME FILE

Soft outside, steel underneath

Baby DONT Cry is supposed to sound like reassurance and refusal at once. P NATION describes the members as soft outside and strong inside—girls who break the behavioral rules handed to them. The official styling drops the apostrophe from DONT, because punctuation apparently also had to rebel.

BDC is convenient shorthand but came with history. Brand New Music already used BDC for the boy group Boys Da Capo. PSY said the trademark was used with the company founder”s permission; former members were publicly unhappy. Permission settled the paperwork, not the emotional ownership.

THE DEBUT FILE

Great identity, terrible adult supervision

“Bet You”ll Regret It” introduced baby-rock guitars, bright attitude and girls who could smile while issuing a warning. “F Girl” then challenged school-grade logic and rigid scoring. That concept had teeth.

The teaser also included a candy package staged as an adult visual joke around underage members. Viewers saw it immediately. P NATION deleted the scene and issued a statement. The company created controversy that the song never needed, then left four teenagers standing inside everybody else”s marketing argument.

The catalog so far

“Bet You”ll Regret It” (2025): the pre-debut guitar warning remains one of the clearest introductions to the group”s “Baby Rock” lane.

F Girl (2025): the title track attacks grading, numbers and the fantasy that girls should perform goodness for evaluation. “I DONT CARE” pushes the rebellion without the teaser baggage.

After Cry (2026): pre-release “Shapeshifter” opens the palette; title track “Bittersweet” lets grief and sunny memory share a frame. The EP reached beyond one debut controversy and proved the concept could survive a full project.

What matters next: more songs that use the four voices and personalities instead of treating “Soyeon-produced” as permanent training wheels.

THE PERFORMANCE FILE

Four people means nowhere to hide

A four-member group exposes spacing, live tone and personality immediately. Yihyun carries main-vocal stability; Kumi”s rap and power movement cut across the brighter production; Mia supplies elastic facial energy; Beni”s dance-captain precision keeps the small formation from looking empty.

The group”s strongest stages understand that “baby” cannot mean helpless. Their smiles are punctuation. The guitars and direct hooks work because the performance refuses to apologize for taking up the whole frame.

THE SOYEON QUESTION

Creative mentor, not fifth member

Soyeon”s authorship gave the debut immediate identity and scrutiny. Her gift is concept compression: one phrase, one visual symbol, one hook people can argue about before lunch. But Baby DONT Cry still needs a catalog where listeners can hear Yihyun, Kumi, Mia and Beni—not only identify the producer”s habits.

After Cry begins that separation. Influence remains visible; dependency becomes less interesting than what the members do with the language.

CURRENT STATUS

Baby DONT Cry is active as Yihyun, Kumi, Mia and Beni. The current profile is a four-member girl group, not a rotating trainee file. Cherries have an official Weverse community, a Japan fan club and a growing official catalog.

FANDOM FILE

Cherry vocabulary without getting lost

Cherries: the official fandom name, tied to the group”s fresh and bold cherry motif.

Baby Rock: the company”s label for youthful hooks, guitars and defiant messaging.

P Girls: the early pre-debut working name.

BDC: common shorthand, but search carefully because another K-pop group used it first.

“F Girl”: the F is a grade, a rejection of scoring and—because the company made choices—a controversy magnet.

THE PANDA SIDE QUEST

Start before the scandal and keep going after it

Watch “Bet You”ll Regret It” first. It shows the identity without the teaser argument eating the song. Then watch “F Girl,” read the deleted-scene timeline, and move into After Cry. The order matters because it separates what the members performed from what adults marketed around them.

For personality, use official behind-the-scenes and Weverse material: Yihyun”s mystery books, Kumi”s baking, Mia”s games and Beni”s plan-making turn four names into actual people.

RAERAE TAKE

Baby DONT Cry did not need shock marketing. Four young women, crunchy guitars and a song about refusing grades was already enough. The adults briefly forgot that. The group kept going and made the smarter argument through music: cute is not weak, young is not empty, and girls should not have to survive somebody else”s bad joke before the public hears the chorus.
