Before Baby DONT Cry
Yihyun was already working in entertainment as a child. She appeared as a young IU lookalike on Doppelgängers, sang on Fantastic Duo, competed on WE KID and trained under J&K Entertainment. She also studied in Malaysia. By the time P NATION revealed her first in June 2025, the “new face” had years of cameras, auditions and adults asking a child to prove she could sing.
Music, performance and work
As leader and main vocalist, Yihyun gives Baby DONT Cry its stable melodic center. “Bet You’ll Regret It” needs a voice that can smile through the warning; “F Girl” needs enough control to keep the slogan from swallowing the song; “Bittersweet” needs actual emotional shading. She became an Inkigayo MC in 2026, widening the job from group representative to weekly live-broadcast traffic control.
The panda side quest
Yihyun reads mystery novels, eats sugar-free candy, loves singing, supports BTS and has a dog named Walnut. She is also the slowest eater in the group and has the nickname Manager Cho. That is leader life in one tiny file: everybody else has finished lunch, and she is still chewing while remembering the next appointment.
