Mind 4EVE reported AI-generated obscene images
This was not fandom drama. It was organized sexual exploitation with a price list.
Status: Police complaint filed; investigation expanded from arrests already made
Receipts level: Police reporting through Thai PBS and national legal coverage
What happened
On January 10, 2024, Mind Atitaya of 4EVE went to Thailand’s Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau with her manager and lawyer. Her face had allegedly been placed onto obscene images using AI tools and the results were sold inside a private online group.
That sentence can sound abstract because the internet has turned “deepfake” into a buzzword. The police details remove the abstraction. Thai PBS reported that the private group had more than 120,000 members. Images were allegedly sold for 50 baht each. Access to the image-altering program was rented for 300 baht per day. Investigators said money moving through the relevant account exceeded 800,000 baht.
This was not one creep making one fake picture. Police said 46 female celebrities had been identified as victims.
The 4EVE connection was already larger than Mind
The investigation did not begin with Mind. Police had already expanded a case connected to the arrest of an alleged operator known online as “Kingspy,” followed by two more arrests. Aheye, another 4EVE member, had reportedly filed a complaint earlier in the same broader matter.
That detail is awful and important. Two women in the same seven-member group were pulled into the same machinery of image abuse. Celebrity gave the fakes a market. Youth and visibility became inventory.
Why “it is fake” does not make it harmless
The images were not real photographs of Mind. The violation was real anyway.
A fake sexual image can still be copied, searched, attached to a person’s name, pushed into harassment, and used to humiliate her in front of employers, relatives, fans, and strangers. The victim then has to prove that something she never made is not her. Meanwhile the people distributing it get to hide behind the word “content.”
No. It is not just content. It is somebody’s face being used as raw material without consent.
What police said could happen next
Thai PBS reported that investigators were preparing separate case files and considering charges connected to false computer data and the distribution or sale of obscene material. Police also warned that buyers who redistributed the images could face consequences.
That last part needs to be louder. The person forwarding the file is not a neutral observer. Demand is what makes a 120,000-member group possible.
RaeRae take
I am usually here for music, clothes, choreography, harmless fandom chaos, and the occasional side-eye. This is not fun tea. It belongs here because fandom databases should record what artists are forced to survive, not only what they release.
Mind did not owe the public an interview on the way into the police station. She filed the complaint. That was the statement.
The people using AI to do this love the distance of a screen. I hope the paperwork made that distance much shorter.
