Before tripleS
Yooyeon was born in Banpo-dong, Seocho, Seoul, South Korea. She almost debuted in CLASS:y as she ranked #8 in My Teenage Girl. Her favorite foods are sweet potatoes, sushi (specifically uni, tuna), Korean beef, malatang, chocolate, tteokbokki, Hyerin’s kimchi fried rice, strawberry latte, pork belly, and oreos. Some of her nicknames are Choonsik, “The girl who goes to Ewha University?”, Goddess of Ehwa University, and Human Sanrio.

Kim YooYeon is S5 (ATOM 01) in tripleS, MODHAUS’s rotating 24-member group. The number is reveal order, not a ranking. Members move through full-group releases and smaller Dimensions selected through the Cosmo voting system.

My Teenage Girl and the route to S5
Kim YooYeon became widely known through MBC’s My Teenage Girl. She finished just outside the final CLASS:y lineup, which made the result a visible disappointment rather than a quiet trainee setback.
