Before debut: from fan to the final lineup
Ryo entered the public NCT pipeline through NCT Universe: LASTART, the project that selected the members of NCT’s Japan-centered final expansion unit. His story has an extra emotional wrinkle because he had already followed senior SM artists before standing inside the same system. That fan-to-performer arc is easy to flatten into trivia, but it matters: he arrived knowing the scale of the stage he wanted and then had to prove he could belong on it.
The selected team first worked as NCT NEW TEAM, releasing “Hands Up” and “We Go!” before receiving the NCT WISH name. Official primary pages consistently identify him as RYO. NCT WISH career
