Early life and training

Yuna grew up in Suwon and played floorball before entering JYP. She was scouted at a music event and trained for several years, appearing before debut in BTS-related screen content and JYP trainee showcases.

She joined the final ITZY lineup after the company’s pre-debut plans changed. Being the youngest and a later addition could have made her disappear behind more experienced trainees. Instead, her height, athletic movement, bright tone, and fearless expressions made her immediately legible.

Road to ITZY
