Ares
God of War · Captured, released and returned to Rakia
A war god with excellent cheekbones and the strategic discipline of a lit firework.
The profile
Why the rabbit hole starts here
Ares is not subtle, but he is not background noise either. Rakia organizes a national war around his Falna, his grudges and his belief that persistence can substitute for planning. That makes him both ridiculous and institutionally dangerous.
Volume 8 development · Full spoilers
The book changes the file.
After losing ten thousand soldiers to Orario’s defenses, Ares switches from Welf retrieval to Hestia kidnapping. He ties a goddess to his back, rides into Beor Mountain and challenges Aiz after she has already dismantled his formation. Loki eventually trades his freedom for the release of nearly ten thousand Rakian Statuses.
