TOMOYA is Tomoya Uemura (植村朋哉), a member of NEXZ selected through Nizi Project Season 2. This is the one canonical person page for both group-member and individual-artist browsing.

Quick File

Before NEXZ

TOMOYA entered Nizi Project Season 2 as a JYP trainee. His public profile already listed dance, acting, and composition among his interests. That background meant the program judged him as somebody expected to organize a team, not only survive his own part.

Nizi Project Season 2

TOMOYA ranked first at the end of the Japanese camp and first in the final lineup. Throughout the show, he repeatedly handled leadership and team-stage responsibility. He became NEXZ’s leader after debut.

NEXZ Career

NEXZ released the Japanese and Korean versions of “Miracle” on December 18, 2023, three days after the final lineup was announced. The song had been used for the final stage, so the first release connected the survival-show ending directly to the group.

The official Korean debut came on May 20, 2024 with Ride the Vibe. The group followed it with the Japanese EP Ride the Vibe (Japanese Ver.) / Keep on Moving, the Korean mini albums NALLINA and O-RLY?, and the Japanese EP One Bite. Later releases included Beat-Boxer and the group’s continuing Korean and Japanese catalog.

Their first Japanese national tour, NEXZ LIVE TOUR 2025 “One Bite,” ran for eighteen shows in fifteen cities and drew more than 50,000 people according to Sony Music Japan. The tour placed the seven members in a full concert structure rather than a short rookie showcase.

Performance File

TOMOYA is the member most often responsible for making a group section read as one unit. His dance control is sharp, but the more important skill is adjustment. He changes energy according to the members around him instead of performing seven separate solos inside one formation.

NEXZ does not publish a rigid list of permanent main and lead positions on its current official profile. This page follows the work visible in releases and performances instead of turning a fan-assigned position into an official fact.
