A-na
Roh Yu-na walked into her first SM audition and sang the South Korean national anthem. That is an unusually serious opening for the member who later became Hearts2Hearts’ resident firecracker. A-na trained for roughly three years, debuted at sixteen, and spent most of her rookie year learning live television in public as one of the youngest regular hosts in Show! Music Core history.

Early life, school and the national anthem audition
A-na was born in Seoul on December 20, 2008, and grew up in Yongin. Public profile material identifies an older sister, and A-na has said that contacting her sister is the first thing she does in the morning. That detail makes the family relationship more useful than an invasive list of relatives. Her childhood memories include cutting her own hair at around four or five, realizing what she had done, and hiding from her mother.
She attended Seokhyeon Elementary School and Heungdeok Middle School. Her education path did not follow the tidy graduation line that idol profiles sometimes invent. She left middle school and later passed both the middle school and high school equivalency examinations. That matters because “attended” and “graduated” are different claims, especially for a trainee balancing school with an entertainment schedule.
For her first SM Entertainment audition, A-na sang the South Korean national anthem. Most audition stories arrive with a pop song chosen to show vocal color or dance ability. The anthem gave her nowhere to hide behind choreography, production or a trendy concept. She joined SM on October 16, 2022, one day after future bandmate Ian, and trained for roughly three years before debut.
Training for an eight-member group
Hearts2Hearts was SM Entertainment’s first new girl group since aespa, so the trainees were entering a debut with a ridiculous amount of company history hanging over them. A-na has named Girls’ Generation’s Yoona as a role model. The comparison should not be turned into a prediction, but it helps explain why A-na’s file is broader than line distribution. Yoona built a career across group performance, acting, hosting and public-facing variety work. A-na received a major hosting assignment almost immediately after debut.
A-na describes herself as Hearts2Hearts’ firecracker. Other members have described her as bright, quirky and difficult to supervise because the energy does not clock out. Those are public comments, not proof of a permanent personality type. The useful pattern is visible in group content: she reacts quickly, commits to a joke and keeps the room moving. Her early MBTI answers have changed, which is exactly why a dated personality test should never outrank demonstrated work.
2025 to present: Hearts2Hearts
Hearts2Hearts debuted on February 24, 2025, with the single album The Chase. The title track introduced the group through hazy, restrained pop rather than the louder debut expected from a large SM lineup. A-na’s lower vocal color helped keep the blend from becoming too weightless. The B-side “Butterflies” showed a warmer side of the same group before “STYLE” pushed them into brighter, more playful territory in June 2025.
The group followed with “Pretty Please” and the first mini album FOCUS in 2025. Their 2026 releases, including “RUDE!” and the second mini album Lemon Tang, gave the members more room for comic timing, sharper attitude and summer-pop energy. In June 2026, Hearts2Hearts told Marie Claire that their goal was to connect with listeners even across different languages. The interview also placed A-na inside the group’s current eight-member lineup rather than treating the members as interchangeable faces around one concept.
A-na does not have a verified solo release, so she remains a Group Member rather than a Solo Artist in the CVM directory. Covers, hosting work, spotlight moments and individual schedules do not create a solo discography. Her canonical person Post can carry every future role without creating a duplicate human.
What to listen and watch for
A-na is commonly described as a rapper, vocalist and visual, but Hearts2Hearts does not publish a rigid position chart for every member. On record, listen for a lower, easier-to-separate texture against the group’s soft upper blend. On camera, watch the transition between posed visual work and the moment she realizes there is room for a joke. The second part is where her timing becomes obvious.
Fourteen months at Show! Music Core
MBC confirmed A-na as a regular Show! Music Core host with ZEROBASEONE’s Kim Gyu-vin and TWS’s Dohoon. Their first broadcast was March 1, 2025, only five days after Hearts2Hearts debuted. That timing is wild. She was learning how to be a newly debuted idol while also reading live cues, handling weekly interviews, keeping broadcast timing and building chemistry with two hosts from different groups.
The role lasted about fourteen months. A-na’s final broadcast aired on May 2, 2026. In her departure statement, she thanked S2U, the production team and the people who trusted and guided her despite how new she had been when the job started. The group came to the set for her farewell, which turned the final episode into a useful little record of how much the assignment had become part of her rookie identity.
Hosting did not prove that A-na was automatically polished. It proved that she could improve under a weekly deadline. Early stiffness, script delivery, reaction speed and partner timing were all visible, which makes the tenure more interesting than a résumé bullet. It also gave her experience talking to senior artists and introducing music outside her own group’s promotions.
Voice, rap, performance and camera work
A-na’s strongest early marker is contrast. Her height and visual presence register immediately, while the speaking and singing tone lands lower than a viewer may expect from Hearts2Hearts’ dreamier debut packaging. In “STYLE” and the brighter 2026 material, that contrast fits better because the songs leave more room for personality. She can sound grounded without flattening the group’s lightness.
Calling her a rapper should not become an excuse to ignore the vocal work, and calling her a visual should not become a substitute for analysis. Hearts2Hearts is still early in its catalog. The fair way to track A-na is through full live stages, encores, official performance videos and longer reality episodes instead of treating one five-second clip as a career verdict.
Panda Side Quests
- Detective brain: She likes horror and mystery movies and is a serious Detective Conan fan. Kaito Kid is her favorite character.
- Sunflower file: Her representative flower and emoji are the sunflower. She connected it with loving fans and wanting to see them.
- Food contradiction: A-na likes spicy food more than her spice tolerance agrees with. She also likes watermelon, fruit bingsu, ice cream, bread and green-tea ice cream.
- Home team: She has a Maltese named Aegi and has publicly discussed an older sister without turning private relatives into content.
- Member chemistry: She has named Yuha as a favorite member, while Jiwoo has jokingly identified A-na as one of the hardest members to look after because of her energy.
- Personal motto: “Let’s live doing everything we want to do.”
Zodiac Side Quest
This is entertainment, not evidence about a real person’s future or relationships. The pop-astrology version of A-na’s profile sees Sagittarius in the curiosity and blunt enthusiasm, then adds an Earth Rat’s practical observation underneath the noise. Convenient? Absolutely. Still more fun than pretending an MBTI result from one afternoon is a permanent medical record.
