FIFTY FIFTY

Active girl group · 2022–present

FIFTY FIFTY went from a small-company debut to the global “Cupid” explosion, then through an injunction fight, a broken original lineup and a 2024 rebuild around Keena. The current chapter is Keena, Chanelle Moon, Yewon, Hana and Athena: five distinct voices carrying a name whose history refuses to fit into one clean paragraph.

THE NAME FILE

Half reality, half dream

The original explanation treated fifty-fifty as balance: reality and ideal, chance and choice, the members and the fans. TWENY completes the equation. It is neat branding for a group whose actual history became anything but balanced.

Searching the name means meeting two lineups, competing narratives, court filings, a viral single that outran its company, and fans who often enter the conversation already carrying a verdict. This profile keeps the people, eras and receipts separate so the music does not become collateral damage.

THE CUPID FILE

A tiny company caught lightning

“Cupid” spread through its Twin Version, sped-up clips and a melody that sounded instantly remembered. It pushed FIFTY FIFTY onto the Billboard Hot 100 faster than anyone expected and turned a young independent-company group into a global business problem overnight.

The success matters musically. So does the machinery around it: The Givers, ATTRAKT, distribution decisions and a dispute over who built the hit. Nobody should flatten four singers into a legal exhibit, but the legal collapse is part of why the first lineup did not survive its own breakthrough.

The two-chapter catalog

The Fifty (2022): “Higher,” “Tell Me,” “Lovin' Me” and “Log In” established the airy, slightly strange pop identity before the world noticed.

“Cupid” (2023): the Korean and Twin versions became the group's unavoidable history. “Barbie Dreams” followed during the crisis but could not produce normal promotion.

Love Tune (2024): Keena returned with Chanelle Moon, Yewon, Hana and Athena. “Starry Night,” “SOS,” “Push Your Love” and “Gravity” rebuilt the dreamy vocal lane without pretending 2023 never happened.

Day & Night (2025): “Pookie,” “Midnight Special” and “Perfect Crime” made the second lineup feel less like a replacement exercise and more like a functioning group.

Too Much Part 1 (2025) and Imperfect-I'mperfect (2026): the catalog widened into sharper, messier pop while Hana's hiatus changed the active stage formation.

THE LAWSUIT FILE

The part nobody can summarize in one villain

All four original members sought to suspend their contracts in June 2023, alleging settlement, health and support failures. The court rejected the injunction. Keena withdrew her appeal and returned to ATTRAKT; the company terminated the other three members' contracts. Later rulings and damages cases continued through 2026.

The former members eventually moved toward a new identity, while FIFTY FIFTY rebuilt. Fans still argue with screenshots from different months as if one receipt explains every relationship. It does not. Read the timeline, distinguish allegations from rulings, and do not draft current members into a fight they did not start.

THE SECOND DEBUT

Rebuilding without cosplaying amnesia

ATTRAKT called the 2024 return a new chapter rather than a brand-new group. That distinction matters. Keena remained. The name and catalog remained. Four new members had to prove themselves under a microscope while performing songs associated with voices fans already knew.

Love Tune worked because it did not chase a counterfeit “Cupid.” It kept the light vocal color and found new personalities inside it. The group survived when the replacement conversation stopped being more interesting than the music.

CURRENT STATUS

FIFTY FIFTY remains a five-member group: Keena, Chanelle Moon, Yewon, Hana and Athena. Hana temporarily suspended activities in March 2026 on medical advice. ATTRAKT has repeatedly described her absence as a health hiatus and promoted with the other four while supporting recovery. A four-person stage is not proof that the fifth chair vanished.

FANDOM FILE

Vocabulary before entering the argument

TWENY: the official fandom, presented as the other fifty completing FIFTY FIFTY.

Original lineup: Keena, Saena, Sio and Aran.

Second chapter: Keena with Chanelle Moon, Yewon, Hana and Athena from 2024.

Twin Version: the English version of “Cupid” that drove much of the international explosion.

Hana hiatus: a confirmed temporary health break, not an announced departure.

THE PANDA SIDE QUEST

Listen in chapters, not court exhibits

Start with The Fifty so “Cupid” does not swallow the original sound. Then play the Korean and Twin versions back to back. Read the 2023 timeline only after hearing the people everyone was arguing about.

For the current group, go “Starry Night” to “SOS,” then Day & Night. Official behind-the-scenes videos make the new lineup click faster than a hundred comparison edits. Keep Hana's chair in the story while she rests.

RAERAE TAKE

FIFTY FIFTY is the cautionary tale everybody uses to prove whatever they already believe about companies, producers, parents, idols or fandom. I am more interested in the women who had to keep singing while adults turned a miracle song into discovery evidence. The original lineup deserved clarity and care. Keena deserved not to become a mascot for one legal side. The four women who joined deserved profiles that were not written as replacement labels. Hana deserves recovery without fans treating an empty stage position like a conspiracy countdown.

The strange victory is that both chapters contain good music. That is inconvenient for anyone who wanted a simple villain and useful for the rest of us.
