ZEROBASEONE Did Not Disband. Five Members Kept the Name and Four Went Home to Yuehua.
The tea in one cup
ZEROBASEONE was supposed to be temporary. Everybody knew. Knowing did not make February 2026 less emotionally rude.
The original contract covered about two and a half years. In December 2025, all nine agreed to a two-month extension so the group could release RE-FLOW and finish encore concerts. Then WAKEONE confirmed the next shape: five members would keep the group name. Zhang Hao, Ricky, Kim Gyuvin, and Han Yujin, all represented by Yuehua, would conclude ZEROBASEONE activities after the March encore.
Why these five
The continuing lineup combines members already tied closely to WAKEONE or able to reach new agreements across agencies. Hanbin remains the leader. Taerae is a WAKEONE vocalist. Matthew and Gunwook signed with WAKEONE for their next phase. Jiwoong continued while balancing acting.
It is also a functional five. Taerae and Hanbin stabilize the vocals, Matthew gives the group international ease and bright performance energy, Gunwook covers rap, dance, and more singing than people initially expected, and Jiwoong supplies a lower color and mature public profile.
What fans lost
Do not let corporate language make four departures sound like changing batteries. Zhang Hao was the original center and first-place winner. Ricky had one of the group’s strongest individual brands. Gyuvin was a major social and variety engine. Yujin grew up inside the lineup. Songs can be rearranged. Relationships cannot be line-distributed into identical replacements.

I am glad five stayed. I am also not pretending OT9 fans were dramatic for grieving. A continuation can be good news and still feel like somebody rearranged your living room while you were sitting in it.
