Producer first, invisible celebrity second

Vince spent years building other artists’ records before many listeners connected his name to the sound. His credits run through work associated with BIGBANG, Taeyang, BLACKPINK, Jeon Somi, ALLDAY PROJECT, and THEBLACKLABEL’s wider catalog. In 2025, an even larger audience found him through the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack, where he received writing and production credits on “Soda Pop” and “Your Idol.” Yes, the fictional demon boys also entered his résumé. Completely normal career development.

That background explains why his own releases feel engineered from the inside. Vince understands what makes a vocalist sound expensive, where a rap feature should enter, and how much production can be removed before a groove loses its spine.

The artist side

Vince debuted under his current stage name with “MENNAL” in 2019, followed by releases including “Emergency,” “UUU,” and the EP The Drive. His early artist image leaned darker and moodier than the music he later described as closer to his everyday personality.

“CHA CHA CHA” became the reset. Vince said he wanted something light, cheerful, and easy to enjoy on a summer night. The song took years to reach the public, and G-DRAGON’s feature grew out of an existing working relationship rather than a label tossing a famous name onto the file five minutes before upload.

RaeRae take: Vince is what happens when the person quietly fixing everybody else’s songs finally walks into the center of the frame and brings G-DRAGON as emotional support.

Why “CHA CHA CHA” matters

The track samples and pays homage to veteran trot singer Seol Woon-do’s “Everybody Cha Cha Cha,” then mixes that familiar Korean reference with Latin rhythm, R&B vocals, and hip-hop phrasing. Vince originally considered a live-action music video and even approached Seol Woon-do about a cameo. The release ultimately used animation, while the later special video put Vince beside TARZZAN for a mock talk-show performance.

That makes the song a neat summary of Vince’s career: old Korean pop memory, contemporary production, a superstar collaborator, animation, and one ALLDAY PROJECT member cheerfully making the room stranger.

CHA CHA CHA covers the song, G-DRAGON feature, Seol Woon-do homage, animated visualizer, and TARZZAN special video.
