Seven movements because this book actually has seven movements
The arc begins with Apollo writing a false story and ends with Hestia Familia authoring a true one in public.
Volume 6 is structured around narrative control. Apollo stages an insult, injuries and outrage until his desire looks like a legitimate dispute. Lilly is dragged toward the identity Soma Familia wrote for her. Bell is hunted as though he were property that escaped. The War Game reverses each act of authorship: Lilly writes the plan, every new member chooses the Familia, and Orario watches the small group define itself through action.
Movement 01 · manufactured grievance
Apollo purchases the appearance of injured honor
Luan plants the insult at Hibachitei, Welf reacts and Hyacinthus supplies overwhelming retaliation. Apollo then treats the violence his own Familia engineered as evidence that Hestia owes him Bell. The arc establishes possession as his actual motive and ceremony as the tool that makes possession socially legible.
The danger is not that Apollo lies well. It is that Orario’s customs give a powerful god enough structure to turn an obvious appetite into proceedings everybody must answer.
Movement 02 · one song
Bell and Aiz occupy a future Apollo cannot own
The dance gives Bell one awkward, gentle moment before the demand closes around him. Zeus and Hera history expands the political memory of the room, while Bell remains focused on the woman who began his dream. Apollo’s interruption converts spectacle into pressure and makes the contrast explicit: connection is mutual; possession is announced.
The softness matters because the rest of the book is built to deny Bell ordinary choice.
Movement 03 · Rabbit Hunt
Orario becomes hostile terrain
The church falls, taking Hestia Familia’s first home with it. Apollo’s squads coordinate streets, rooftops and exits until the city behaves like a Dungeon designed around Bell as prey. Hestia’s glove slap formalizes the conflict only after refusal and flight fail.
The War Game is not the beginning of Apollo’s attack. It is Hestia forcing an attack already underway into terms her Familia can contest.
Movement 04 · Lilly’s contract comes due
Soma Familia tries to reclaim the person it trained her to be
Lilly returns with Zanis because she believes surrender may reduce the army hunting Bell. Captivity and Divine Wine attack the identity she rebuilt through choice. Bell’s remembered smile becomes an anchor, but Lilly’s own resistance is the crucial act. She keeps enough of herself intact for Conversion and rescue to become possible.
The arc transforms her old affiliation from backstory into an active system that must lose jurisdiction over her life.
Movement 05 · those who gather
A Familia forms when membership guarantees danger
Aiz and Tiona train Bell for Hyacinthus. Welf and Mikoto transfer into Hestia Familia. Lyu agrees to fight outside formal membership. Lilly turns everything she knows about being overlooked into siege planning. Nobody arrives because the new Familia offers safety, money or prestige.
They gather because relationships created obligations each person freely chooses to recognize.
Movement 06 · our War Game
Five people dismantle a hundred-person certainty
Crozzo Magic Swords remove the walls, Mikoto’s gravity removes numerical movement, Lyu removes key defenders and Lilly’s Luan disguise opens the west gate. Every action narrows the castle until Bell can reach Hyacinthus. Aiz’s training teaches him where the final opening will appear; his left hand ends the duel.
The plan is not “Bell wins harder.” It is a chain of irreplaceable tasks designed around what this exact group can do.
Movement 07 · the real debut
Victory turns a tiny relationship into a visible institution
Apollo is exiled and his Familia dissolved. Lilly says goodbye to Soma without surrendering the self that survived him. Bell, Hestia, Lilly, Welf and Mikoto enter the captured manor as a group Orario can no longer reduce to one fast-growing boy and his goddess.
The new home is larger, but the real expansion is authorship. Hestia Familia has publicly proved who it is and who gets to belong.
The structural receipt
Apollo begins by staging witnesses. Hestia Familia ends by becoming impossible to misread in front of the whole city.
That is why the War Game feels like a debut rather than only revenge. The public spectacle Apollo built to acquire Bell becomes the spectacle that proves Bell was never alone enough to acquire.
