Silverback
A lower-eleventh-floor monster turned into divine punctuation: aimed at Hestia so Freya can see what Bell writes under pressure.

The file
Who Silverback is before later volumes get a vote
The silverback is not a misunderstood citizen of Orario. It is a Dungeon monster removed from its expected environment, released into a festival and manipulated toward a specific target. That chain of custody matters because “Bell fought a monster” is the least interesting description of the climax.
Freya turns the creature into an experiment. Hestia becomes bait, civilians become collateral risk and Bell becomes the subject expected to reveal his soul through danger. The silverback’s magic-stone core gives Bell a tactical target. The Hestia Knife lets him reach it. When the core breaks, the monster dies and the people responsible for putting it on the street remain alive.
Volume 1 receipts
The scenes doing the character work
Removal
Out of the Dungeon
A monster from a much lower floor enters a public event whose promise depends on containment.
Manipulation
Freya’s charm
The silverback’s pursuit of Hestia is engineered, turning animal violence into a goddess’s directed test.
Defeat
The core strike
Bell combines Eina’s lesson, Hestia’s blessing and Hephaistos’s weapon to destroy the core in one public victory.
Connections
Nobody becomes interesting alone
Controller
Freya
Freya makes the silverback narratively precise by aiming its violence at the person Bell cannot abandon.
Target
Hestia
Hestia is not random prey. She is selected because her danger exposes Bell’s priorities.
Opponent
Bell Cranel
The fight becomes Bell’s heroic debut, though the creature itself never consents to being a symbol in a divine experiment.
